and ya, the good news is rod aka (victoryred) will be unveiling his car at the meet this year, and i think we're gonna go with ashcroft's race track as mission doesn't have anything available that we can rent out, and the next closest available date is in august if i remember correctly and $2500 for the 2 sides of the track.
also with ashcroft we are able to come in with another event and will keep the costs down for everyone.

I know Ashcroft has a raceway :P... about a 7-8 hour drive from Calgary... 3 hours from Vancouver. If people are really attached to the whole going to a raceway thing.

Well having it at a raceway adds variety as well. If you want to race then you can, if not then no biggie, just park your car with the rest and hang out. Also a cruise may not be ideal for the out of towners who just drove 7-10 hours to get there LOL

That sure is a long drive jst to hang out and get drunk. If you want alot of out-of-towners to be there then I'd highly suggest having something for us to do. The Ashcroft raceway sounds good. More info on it?? How would it compare to the Castrol track in Edmonton?

There can be some nice party camping in Ashcroft... I can look into it if you guys want, I know its a bit of a drive but get your **** together, it'll be fun. The next raceway area is just in Mission which is the biggest in BC and one of the best in Western Canada but I'm sure you guys don't want to drive 11 hours to here... its only like an hour out of Vancouver... then you may as well continue thru if you're here but it can nice.

Yea mission is a very nice track for sure, never been to Ashcroft so can't say what that ones like for track prep and such. But yea do bear in mind the last couple years the bc people have been traveling long ways to get to the meets so it's nice it's finally out here lol. My work doesn't allow me to travel out of province for too long, still a rookie in the field so u don't get good holidays lol

well rob if you want to take over everything thats fine, just keep me in the loop so i can keep the website updated. and camping is a must as its generally cheaper and more fun then a hotel room. you guys know the area's alot better then i do so all that good stuff. like i said before rod had received and email from ashcroft expressing enthusiasm in having us come there. but i'm not sure if a price was every told.

So far I have not seen the prices for Ashcroft. Hopefully Rob is getting them soon. I do know the fellow in charge of the track doesn't respond very quickly.
One thing to keep in mind about this meet especially for those who want to see my car run. Depending on how close to the meet my project is completed, the funds to trailer my car up to Ashcroft is an unknown. As you can appreciate, my first concern is getting the car completed and that is where the money gets spent first. Mission is easier because I can drive there from my house, I just need to transport the wheels/tools that I need.
Right now there are a few unknowns so I can't say a wrap date for the project. I do know that I need a couple of track days to get it dialed in before I will be doing full WOT runs on the track.

well i think everyone is leaning towards mission and just getting in on one of their street legal nights as a private group. this way nobody has to send any money for registration as you just pay at the gate and camping is cheap and really close to the track which is what the rest of the weekend is for anyways.
