Intakes?

It's been a few weeks since I have started paying attention to you guys for an intake. I have put off buying another brand in hopes that your short ram will be a good deal... But I am wondering how much longer do you estimate it will take before it is released? Do you have any kind of pricing info yet?

As far as I know, we will not be doing one, ( has not been a discussion yet ) at least not right away.

We have been doing a lot of R&D with our own intake, and so far as of today's testing we are not having any issues. ( A/F ratios )
Ours also does not need extra help, Electrical tape, or zip ties, to hold on a certain fitting
We chose to duplicate the factory style fitting. You have that reassuring "click" that you know it is on, and will not come off.
Dan will post up availability, and pricing shortly.

Short ram will be next in line. Just need to set up another appointment with our local SS/TC guy.
We also did a complete 3" DP and exhaust install on his car today, and that took up some time, but Wow!, a cat and resonator delete, with just our Magnaflow muffler, sounds wicked on these cars!

So if I understand correctly, the short ram for the 2009 ss/tc is not even close for consumption yet? Are the testing, and 'soon' estimates just for the full cold air intake system? I am leaning towards the short ram myself, for what I assume should be a pretty good price difference, so that's what I was most concerned about (though it is nice to know for others following your work and waiting.)

Progress Update!!!

Hey all!!! Ok so this weekend...thanks to sleepyguy for coming down and letting us use his car, we were able to get PERFECT FITMENT FOR THE FULL COMPLETE COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEM!!! And when we say perfect, we mean flawless!!! We worked out ALL the bugs for you guys. So there will be no returns!

The next step, is to cut the parts, get them to a machine shop to replicate, do flanges etc. Then while he is working on those, Dan and Todd will be working on getting patterns and numbers (so we can replicate it). When we get those back and the fixtures finalized, we will do a production run of probably about 10. Dan will get those parts bent up then we'll get them coated, order the silicone elbows, refit everything and sell A MILLION OF THESE TO YOU GUYS!!!

Hey all!!! Ok so this weekend...thanks to sleepyguy for coming down and letting us use his car, we were able to get PERFECT FITMENT FOR THE FULL COMPLETE COLD AIR INTAKE SYSTEM!!! And when we say perfect, we mean flawless!!!

The plan of action for this is to:
- cut the parts
- get them to a machine shop to replicate, do flanges etc.
- at the same time Dan and Todd will finish patterns and bending numbers (so we can replicate it)
- after that Dan will probably bend a batch of
- next is coating & ordering silicone elbows

When it's ready to go we'll get sleepyguy back in here to double check fitment and then finish up R&D on the budget and SRI, then it will be time to sell A MILLION OF THESE TO YOU GUYS!!!

So we won't be taking money for these until next week, not until we're a little closer to being done and after we've caught up a bit on all of our other stuff. But this is on it's way to completion and I'll set up a gp for ya'll next week.

Hey beth, can you put me down for #1 on that list! I have been waiting for your intake to come out to buy one, and would be obliged to be the #1 (or 2...) customer for it.

Few questions... did you get the recirc hos connection all figured out (assuming you would before producing, just checking though), also, is this a full cold air intake, or a short ram intake?

THANKS... I think this will go perfectly with my boost tubing I am looking forward to installing next week.

Great to see your interest guys! That's awesome!

Ok, I've added MKreibs to the list. The order will go in order of who pays, so when the gp goes live make sure to get in on it asap!

We'll keep you posted!

How can we know when and where the group buy goes live? Also, what about word on the short ram, as that is what I am personally more interested in? My only concern is that if the full cold air on a group buy, will be close to the price of the short ram, that I would rather go with the cold air. Basically, I don't want to order the cold air and have the short ram be much cheaper, or the other way around, wait for the short ram and have it be so close to the cold air it's not worth it....

Keep an eye on this thread. I'll probably start a new one but I'll also post it on here. As for pricing, we'll post those when we get it figured out but I won't know until we are further along.

So, is this a short ram intake or a true cold air intake?

So is the short ram going to go all the way to the turbo and have a way to attach it to the car to keep it from flopping around like the "other" short ram does? If so, I have cash waiting for the group buy...

I am pretty sure you missed out on the first group buy for the CAI. The SRI is up next, and I bet if there's enough interest like in the downpipe thread, they will consider doing another group buy. Of course, I don't purport to speak for them, but they have always seemed more then willing to work with this board.
