They can be if you know what your doing

 

this car could be in low 11's for under $3,000, subframe connectors, slicks, 3.73s with 31 spline count, driver mod and a supercharger kit. 2v blocks hold 400rwhp just fine and look good doing it. just as capable as any whinning cobalt. I just like the looks of the cobalt and this car is to much car for me and miss my old cobalt.

4v swaps from old mercurys can be done for under 1000 bucks from a junk yard if your a guy that hates 2v's. But thats for beyond 11's. But knowing you own a cobalt i doubt you want anything lower than 11s...

 

should of kept your opinions to yourself my old balt got smoked by this car. I know the owner of my cobalt and we've raced 4 or 5 times. He still only has a 2.8, 60s catback, cai, H/E and custom tune from ottp.

4.10s make you get put in the seat of your pants. mustang owners say its the best bang for your buck mod you will ever do besides big buck things like supercharging or F/I in general.

its a great car and the cobalt ss is to. ive owned both and i get alot of crap from guys on here. Its just 2 different style cars. dig race or roll racing is the big difference, Mustangs run outa breath after like 70 mph.
