What happened were you caught drinking and driving while under 21? That totally sucks you have to sell you car though.

 

got 5 tickets in one shot and im only 19 so i dont drink

that sucks man..but i would go to court and really talk to the cop and prosecuter and see what they can do. if you have no prior offenses, chances are they may be not so harsh on you. tell them its your first car, you need it for work etc.
who knows , it might work. but def. appear in court. maybe they will drop the ticket down to a small speeding ticket or something.

hello, i just joined, but i've been lurking for awhile. i have to say i know the last time a post was made in this thread was 8/29. as much as i would love to buy your ss/sc. i live in plainview. nassau county as you do. let me just say i really hope you didnt sell your car. im 23. and i can honestly say when i was 19 i myself got into a lot of trouble with my car. i had a cavalier z24 with the m62 on it. in a span of 12 months i recieved tickets that would have added up to 28 points in total. it only takes 11 to get your license revoked. i hired a lawyer, i believe his name was Ron Bekoff. he works in mineola right by the courts. lets just say my 28 points and countless cost of fines, vanished. i ended up getting 4 points and a $300 fine total. and the addition 1300 the lawyer charged me. HOWEVER. i did not loose my license, nor did my insurance go up because i immediatley took a defensive driving class which removed the 4 points. after that the next year i renewed my insurane i had a defensive driving course discount. ended up working out great minus the lawyer fee. but i cant complain now can i. nassau county likes money. the dont care about points. plea not guilty and plea down, even if you choose not to hire a lawyer.

definitely get a lawyer because of laws the way they are today....
I don't know if they have a "habitual offender" thing in NY, but you need to get as many tickets off as possible. it will be worth every penny! from an insurance standpoint alone!

over the years I have accumulated something like 50-60 points (lost track & I am underestimating).
by todays standards I would be a "habitual offender" riding the bus ARGH!!

how'd they get you for "modified muffler" if you're running the stock one?

 

the downpipe adds to the loudness...although its no where near what a car would sound like with a fart can on it. thats a little rediculous they gave you a ticket for that.

kenny and i got pulled over coming home from the car show last weekend. he has a major exhaust leak and towing the trailer he blew a header gasket ...funny thing is...no ticket for that....but we did wind up with a ticket for just about everything else imaginable.

 

damn that sucks man on both parts...
