06' Cobalt w/ 1st ever Garrett Alpha Turbo Kit by SCT (Lots of Pics)
I was told that the owner of the test car (this guy) was involved in the software programming that SCT used to crack the E16a. I was hoping he could read and reply to the thread I have on SCT's forum concerning this system. I haven't heard back from him yet, but I only just wrote him today. I'll probably hear something on Monday.
SCT contacted me about the testing as well but they wanted a stick for development and i have an automatic. But they did tell me they would keep me in mind when they start automatic testing
all i know of what they were able to do was change the fuel curves, advance timing, and a few other things. dont know how much furthey they got because i stoped asking about it after they told me they wanted a stick for development

Edit: I'll see what I can do to post a Dyno Run for the car...
so whats the updat halfcent?
so what do you think about this 267whp thing? i just thought GM would know what they were talkin about when the said 250hp max...
The way that GM got that number was by shooting an instant full on shot of nitrous (I think it was a 150shot but I could be wrong). The engine is probably safe close to 300hp at the fly.
GM never said that. GM Racing destoyed an engine using nitrous at 287 horsepower. So it's been a generall accepted number that 250 was the safe max. I don't doubt his power claim at all. It's a bit high for the car without some supporting engine work, and it will reduce the durability of the engine, but it will be fine.
