And on those forums no one wants to trade they want to sell outright. As I said before one of my MAJOR mods is the 3.91 gears which you ONLY get from Australia and had them professionally installed. That alone makes the car a completely different car but cost 1000 by itself. If you have ever driven a car off the show room floor (bought mine brand new) the car isn't all that impressing. As far as one for 27K with a maggie and engine work would just tell me a car that has been beaten on. I have every single time slip of when I went to the track and still have the stock tires with PLENTY of tread so you can see the car hasn't been worked hard. Seems like you are crapping on my thread but since you haven't seen my car or driven it how can say what mine is worth? Not to say my car is the best out there but how many impulse blue with blue leather and 18's have you seen? EVERY where I go I get compliments on the car so it is a rare color combo. One last thing, Jkennedy I'm not saying your car isn't worth what you are asking but the difference between mine and yours is that the Vette has a newer body style out so yes the C-5 is a sweet car but everyone always looks at what is new out there. The GTO was a very limited run and they aren't bringing it back. Besides it is sweeter to beat a C-6 with a GTO then it is to beat a GTO with a C-6.

not gonna happen for that price.. just b/c its modded doesnt mean you get more money.. doesnt matter what it is or how nice or what Diamond it came from.. modding = automatic loss in money ... period..... also.. GTO are not saught after like you may think

i know of 4 right now selling for below 21K and they are all new or have less then 2.5k miles... 30k just aint gonna happen

here it is from KBB with your mileage:

Excellent
$26,765

Good
$25,340

Fair
$23,410

A dealer near me is selling lefover 2006 GTO's for $25k brand new, and that's without my supplier discount. Would have to be a lot more worth it but wish I could do it at the right price.

See you guys are missing the point...........IF I was just selling outright then you would have a point but I'm more looking to trade than anything else. Second point is if I don't trade or sell it I can keep it no problem.

but for sale or trade your GTO is worth the same which isn't close to what you're asking. i'm sure we'd respond more favorably if we felt the value was there but based on what a slightly used '06 goat is worth, you're coming in too high.

for example, i could go to the dealer i mentioned and trade my car plus cash for their brand new GTO at a much cheaper price.

I'm currently in the market to get another goat..preferrably stock though with low mileage.......less of a chance of it ever being beat on.

Check out the gto forum and you can see what comparable cars are selling for

It is pretty simple, all of you guys saying its not worth it are not buying it. I don't NEED to get rid of it just LOOKING to see if I can find someone to trade or if someone really wants to buy it outright they can. IF you want to trade I've been telling everyone the same story, "tell me what you want for your car and we can work the numbers". Never said I was dead set on 30 but at the same time if you want to go to the dealership and buy a bone stock car for whatever number you guys are quoting the go right ahead you DON'T HAVE TO BUY MY CAR.

Something like that. But like I said nothing is set in stone I'm a little flexible but at the same time I'm picky about the car I would trade the GTO for. I still owe on the GTO so isn't like I'm going to pocket 12K on that type of deal either.

i drove my best friends goat stock for a week. It only took me 4 days to empty a full tank driving how i normally drive. Which is spirited but not wreckless. It cost around $70 to fill up. $30 more than the cobalt ss/sc

With those mods I can see why you want to get rid of it. Good Luck

Actually I get better gas mileage than I did stock. The gears help the car get moving in town and only raised the RPM 300 after shifting into 6th gear at 70 MPH. The intake lets it breathe better and so does the exhaust. Last road trip with the A/C on I got 25.8 MPG in it.

Wish i could buy it but if i had a extra $12,000 laying around. I would have bought a GTO and supercharged it for that.

Well I figure that if I get rid of the GTO and just make some smart investments in the next year or so then a new C-6 will be in the garage and won't have to worry about carring a loan on it.
