09 SS/TC Sedan

2009 Chevy Cobalt SS Turbo
Sedan (1 of 41)
Summit White
Options: G85 (limited slip), Sunroof, MP3-CD-USB radio Pioneer 7 speaker sound system with 10" sub
Mileage: 92k
Engine: 2.0l Ecotec Turbo 5 speed manual with Quaife LSD

Mods when purchased with 34k miles in oct '11:
Dejon Powerhouse Hotside charge pipes
HAHN racecraft Cold air intake
Synapse Turbo Intercooler
ZZP Performance Catless Downpipe
HAHN racecraft 3" exhaust
SSC Springs
Over the Top Performance rotated engine and tranny mounts
Over the Top Performance 1" rear sway bar
Stock 10 spokes plasti-diped black, 2 new nitto nt 555's, rears have about 5-10k left on them.
Custom HPtuners Tune
Mechanical 30/30 Autometer Ultralite boost gauge

Mods in the last 10k miles:

Kentucky Clutch stage 3 clutch with new flywheel, slave and TOB (84k mi)
Motor rebuilt and forged with Weisco pistons, new bearings and all parts inspected (86,500mi)
Head rebuilt with new seals flow tested and arp heads studs installed (86,500mi)
Injector seals changed from white to black so car is e-85 safe.
Power slot front rotors and Hawk HPS pads(84k mi)
Transmission recently replaced with ~40k mile unit which also has LSD.

Only know problems:

Emergency brake does not work, this happened once under warranty and the dealership adjusted it to get it working again but that only lasted about 6 months, its not a big issue to me so I never took time to try to figure it out.

Car has been in 2 fender benders, both times professionally fixed, hit a possum, replaced front bumper and drivers side fog light, got rear ended and replaced the rear bumper and drivers tail light.

Oil changed with Mobil 1 5w-30 every 5000 miles

Had the front end professionally painted with a pearl black center, calipers are pearl red painted and clear coated.

Dyno'd well over 350+whp and 390+wtq on previous motor, same tune.

This car was purchased to be a daily driver and has done over 50k miles interstate duty avg about 29mpg. As such the paint shows wear. Recently I have changed jobs and no longer need to drive 130mi/day so I decided to keep the car and begin building it, all parts were installed with the intention of keeping the car. It has never been on the drag stip or road course.

A recent life change has left me in need of a truck, so I am only selling the car to purchase a truck.

Price: $12,500 pretty firm but motivated to sell.

There have been a few threads that had the production numbers of the 08 & 09's. Never saw the production #'s of the 10's.

Miles are semi high on the car but the only part of the drivetrain with that many miles are the axles, literally everything else has less than 45k on it. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car across the country tomorrow.

In the next few weeks or possibly as late as the end of feb, I want to make the move from my current LS to the TC Sedan. Your relatively close, in comparison with all the SS/TC sedans I have found. Only thing that I hesitant about with your car is the miles... I know it's been rebuilt and what, and trans changed, but thats the part that scares me a bit. I'll be keeping your car in my mind though.

I'll have off on a weekend eventually maybe I'll make the trip to you and come check out the car.

Sure, you can read my thread in the trans section, some one off problem with it where it broke 5th, everything else was fine. Like I said I was repairing and building the car to keep for myself everything was done with reliability in mind. I was weeks away from putting a ZFR on the car when the trans broke. If it doesn't sell I still just might.

Bumping the cheapest LNF here, and also the best deal by far for anyone looking to build a cobalt.
