Due to changes in my needs, I am reluctantly selling my beautiful 2004 BMW M3. To anybody who has driven or taken a ride in an E46 M3, you will agree that this is one of the all time great cars. It has the 3.2 liter straight six engine producing 333 hp and 262 ft. lb…it is the perfect blend of power, comfort, luxury….and an exhaust note that is just incredible.

The car has been babied all of its life and it runs and drives like brand new. All regular servicing has been done by BMW and all of its miles are highway. This car was used to commute from Central NJ to Boston, MA on a weekly basis when the weather was appropriate. The car has been garaged in winters and washed and waxed on a regular basis. I would categorize both the interior and exterior as 9.9 out of 10. This is the cleanest and best maintained E46 M3 I have encountered in a very long time.

I am the second owner of this car. I had purchased it from a BMW dealer in Long Island a few years back when it had a mere 9000 miles on it. I was told when I bought the car that the previous owner had hit the passenger side mirror and had it replaced but other than that, it has never had a scratch.

The car has performed flawlessly at all times…never a single issue. Going easy on the gas, it has reached an average of 29mpg on the highway, but most of the time its around 24…for this level of performance and comfort, it is quite impressive.

So if you are looking for a pristine example of an E46 M3, this is the car for you. I actually prefer this car over the newer M3…much better lines and feels more nimble since it weighs over 300 lbs less.

With this car, it seems that BMW got everything perfect.

i've ridden in an m3 with SMG and it was beat to crap, and i was still impressed with the overall quality. hated that SMG tho haha.

I agree with your thoughts on the SMG. With these cars, the 6 speed is the only way to go.
