2006 Cobalt SS For Sale - CLEAN :)

Hello all,

Up for sale is my baby who I have taken meticulous care of throughout its life. This is probably one of the cleanest Cobalt’s you will see around! The car is a 2006 Cobalt SS in Rally yellow. Current odometer reading is 79,380; I am the 5th owner of the car and bought it in 03/2011 when it had 59,000 miles on it. Car was purchased from Nate (ssyellow) on this forum. Miles will increase as I drive it every day. The car also has the G85 package which includes the Recaro leather seats and factory limited slip differential. The car gets waxed multiple times a year. Oil and filter have been changed religiously at 3-5k intervals with Mobil 1 full synthetic.

The car has many tasteful modifications to make it stand out as different and not your average Cobalt SS. Nothing serious in the performance department as everything is pretty much basic bolt on stuff to make it run more efficient. Here is a list:

Engine: Injen air intake, GM stage 2, Dual pass endplate, ZZP Stage 3 Heat Exchanger, Option B, DC sports exhaust, TTR upper engine mount, DC sport strut bar, ZZP 2.5” catless down pipe with bung for wideband

Visual (exterior): Stock 18” rims powder coated glossy black, Painted calipers, Turbocharged upper and lower grilles, SS vinyl overlays from Motown vinyls, 5% tint on all of the windows, Wingless and debadged trunk with color matched M3 lip

Suspension/other: Eibach Sportline springs 10k or less miles on them, Slotted and drilled rotors, Tires are Toyo Extensa HPs (225/40/18) that have all been put on within the last 12 months. also included in the sale are three (3) Blizzak Revo1 winter tires which are mounted on 16” steel rims that have gone through two winters and have many more ahead of them. And one all-season tire mounted on the same rim. (one of the tires had to be replaced end of last winter and I got an all-season tire for free that I had put on)

Interior: Momo e-brake, Painted black interior, dual gauge pod with Aeroforce Interceptor Scan gauge and AEM UEGO wideband, & GM performance parts pedals.

The sale also comes with the stock parts that I have taken off the car which include the springs, and engine mount. Also the Gen 3 Projectors with 8K HIDs that came with the car (I put the stock headlights back in). I am in no need to sell the car in a hurry but am open to offers, looking to upgrade right now. Hope to send her off to a new home and owner that appreciates the car just as much as I do.

Contact me on this forum or send an e-mail to jbryyy@gmail.com

Thanks for looking! Located in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Asking $10,500 OBO

All the pictures are of how the car sits today. I will upload interior pictures tomorrow (as long as it's not still raining!)

Just wanted to say I took meticulous care care of this car, and thats taking the phrase lightly. I scrubbed the engine bay weekly along with a clay bar treatment and wax monthly. I doubt you will find a better care for car on the market. Bought it from Florida with somewhere around 17k miles on it and had it shipped up to Michigan. I miss this car in all honesty and should have never sold it but things happen and I wanted an SS TC, only reason why I sold it.

Probably one of the cleanest Cobalts on the market, best of luck with the sale Jimmy.

Thanks for the kind words, Nate! And for the record, I kept it just about as clean as he did!

The cars only 6 years old, tell him to go to a different bank! That doesn't make too much sense lol.

It not only has to do with the year but the price. I mean if he paid the 10,500 he is already almost a grand over what PP value is worth in excellent shape. It's actually easier to get a loan for something newer.

sounds like your buddy just needs to go for a loan and not say its for a car, a bank should not deny a loan just because its for an old-er car.

If the bank won't give you an auto loan there is NO way they will give you a personal loan for the same value.

Typically people I know who want to buy a car, especially private do not go to a bank saying they want a loan for a car, they just go and try to get a loan and say its for whatever, home and other things(personal). As soon as you say you are going to get a car they turn into jackass'. If you cannot get a cheap car loan, probably should not be going for one anyway or go to one of them "drive now" places and just put up with what you can get.

Just saying its usually better to go in for a personal loan. Example, I wanted a 93 MR-2, had 10,000 miles and some upgrades, they were asking a pretty penny and I saw why and agreed. Went to bank and said I wanted a personal loan, the guy ask if I was going to buy a car I said maybe(only cause I was just seeing at the time). He said, I had the loan but if I tried under a car loan I would not get it because it did not meet their terms for a loan. Ended up not doing it because as I was looking at paper work for the personal loan the guy called and said he just sold it.

Sorry, back at topic. GLWS, is a nice balt that is for sure.

don't mind that it got off topic, haha. thank you very much. I have a friend who might buy it... but he has to sell is Cal SRT-4 first... so I'm not deleting the thread, car is still FS, just have a potential buyer.
