For Sale 2008 Cobalt SS
2008 Cobalt SS
Name: Nathaniel
Location: St Louis, MO, but could bring back to Memphis or Nashville TN for serious buyer w/ deposit
Contact: Thread or PM
Miles: 94k and rising as it is my daily driver
Price: $10,600 FIRM. That is my payoff so not really negotiable. No trades.
I am looking at possibly getting into something else. I have had this car for a little over a year. Has made two trips to Deals Gap (once from Memphis and once from STL) without a hitch. Passed Memphis emissions earlier this year. Cars runs great. New brake pads and rotors done in April. Front tires are around a year old and have plenty of life left. Mods include a muffler delete, Eibach springs, hard boost pipes, and a Hurst shifter. I have the original boost pipes and a brand new stock shifter that will also be included in the sale. I am second owner and have the original window sticker. Original owner was a dealership mechanic and bough the car new in Memphis. One past accident according to CarFax, but runs and drives great. Car gets mid to high 20s around town and got 32mpg on the way to DGRR 2013.
The bad:
-The wheels are plastidipped and are not perfect. The original owner painted multiple coats on them and they really need to be sandplasted down if you want them done right.
- Rear tires could used replaced
- No truck lock. Previous owner said someone tried to break into his trunk after IA at a hotel
- Hazard button is missing, but the previous owner added a S2k push start button below the stereo. Why? Only god knows.
- Some dings (two of which I have pictured) and the interior isnt perfect. The driver's seat started to tear on the outer bolster when I got the car, but my wife sewed it up as shown. The inner bolster is loose.
- Slight tick when turning left. Has done this for a while now and hasnt become worse.
Overall a very reliable car that is in good shape overall.

NADA: ~ $11,100
I kind of chuckle at the KBB private party numbers. I have yet to find many (if any) SS/TC's for less than $9k. SS/SC's maybe. But thanks for the info.
If someone is seriously interested, I may be able to work with you a little. If not, I will keep it and drive the wheels off of it
yeah but but there is some work that needs done to it. the trunk for one and the popping sound for sure. its cool but just saying private party is what I was looking at. I want a ss but im not trying to buy something that needs stuff done to it right away. glws
I understand and wish you the best of the luck on your search. I understand it isn't perfect and could work on the price a little more than it is already reduced. However, finding a ss/tc for around $10k that needs nothing will likely prove challenging. However, I hope you find the deal that meets your needs
thanks man appreciate it. yeah trying to find something that will save me gas but keep a lil money in my pocket from the gas station. lol I have a trailblazer ss and wanting to let it sit and keep miles off of it. 13 mpg isn't fun. lol I was tryin to be a dick or whatever.
I hear you on the fuel economy. One of my biggest reservations about even considering selling this car. However, it looks like I will be picking up snow tires for it next weekend. If that happens, I will just keep the car.
Still have the Cobalt and it is still for sale. 109k miles now. Leaving STL and moving back to Memphis in about a week. All dents pulled a few months ago. Nice tires on all four corners. Price dropped to $8500.
