The SS/TC is nice (and fast), but I think the GTI is a more "classy"/grown up kind of car


See the November issue of Car & Driver?? The SS/TC spanked A LOT of cars (including EVO & STi & SRT-4) on the track times

 

i <3 GTI's if i could afford payments on one i would trade my RL in in a heartbeat lol.

 

I'm leasing mine for $330/month, put nothing down & 15k/miles year and the 2009's come with free maintenance too

Though I loved my RL, the GTI is a SWEEEEET car & the quality is top notch

I'm thinking Stage 1 ("chip") in the spring time......adds 40 hp & 80 tq, but it's about $600-800

 

yeah well since i cant get the new ss im just gonna go with stage 1 with an intake whenever they decide to release it then call it a day and put mad amt of $ each month towards a montly payment.

 

I would never lease a car tho. I hate leasing.
When i was looking at GTI's they were 400 a month at best

I hear ya.....depends on what you wanna do with the car, of course

I love getting a new car every so often, so I can't stay committed & leasing is my best option. And the lease rates were AWESOME at the time too....so I can't complain
