For Sale 2009 Cobalt SS/TC Sedan
They most definately are. I am sure 85% of the cars on this site are covered with them, due to owners using the drive through washes or poor washing techniques. If you or someone you know knows how to use a dual action polisher (not the junk **** in parts stores), it could be brought back to good in a weekend.
Gentlemen,
Thanks for the comments, and sorry for the long response time...
re: swirl marks. The car doesn't go to ANY machine washes, I use a separate bucket bucket to rinse my microfiber wash rag when washing, and I use all microfiber rags to dry it. Not to mention it is always garaged. That said, I have not had time to clay, AIO and seal the car in the last 3 months and you can tell by the photos. The swirls are not deep and the paint is not scratched, but I was trying to capture all the flaws in the car with the photos in order to accurately represent the current condition of the car. I had to try and get the swirls to show up in the photo.
20 minutes with my PC and a pad and the swirls would be gone. But a child, working 65 hours a week and a remodel have severely limited my detail time.
If it's a big deal to a prospective buyer, I'll get them out and put on a good sealant prior to selling it. FYI, I typically use Mother's claybars, Megs pads with my PC, Megs ultimate compound, followed by Klasse AIO and then a good synthetic sealant like Zaino, Poorboys, or the like.
Hook, yes the car is in SLC and is on craigslist as well. You are welcome to come look at it whenever convenient.

Went to look at this car this weekend.
Pictures in this thread do it no justice.
under 30K miles
In perfect shape
The man has records on the car from a car fax to oil samples from each oil change
Knows the life of the car, Adult owned and driven since day one.
I drove this car. Not one single noise, rattle, squeak, road noise ect.
No shimmys, shakes, pulls ect.
Runs and drives like a new car.
Tires are toyo's with good life left
Biggest thing is its 100% stock and still has warranty.
This is a Very good find.
I wish I was in a better spot Id be buying this car right now.
But looks like Ill half to wait till summer or more

Thanks Hook, it was good to meet you on Saturday. Wish it would have worked out for you financially, but I completely understand your situation. Good luck in your search.
all PM's should be replied to, hit me back if you haven't heard back from me.

Just a few more questions to answer:
GM tells me the B2B warranty can be extended for around $1000 as long as the car is still under the B2B warranty (a few more weeks). Powertrain warranty will continue to be in effect for a few more years as mentioned above.
Non smoking car.
I can do a PDI at a GM dealership locally if you want.
