why buy another car when you're in debt? Sorry a bit off topic... why not pay the CC off first?

No, I dont. I could always put it up on Craig's list but I'd rather not deal with that site or the people that frequent it. Seen and been around more bad from that site than good.

My debt is minimalistic plus I have money stashed in savings on top of what's going to be used for the STi. I was over this car 3 years ago but just kept it until I was able to be in a position to buy a new car. Having a car payment is something I will most likely always have and I budget my spending accordingly. Some operate that way, others would rather be completely and totally debt free. Either way, as long as you are responsible with spending and have money saved up so you're not maxing out credit cards, it's not really right or wrong in both aspects.

Well considering I will be financing around 30k out the door for the STi, I won't be too far past what the Cobalts cost me each time I bought. But that's going to be the only thing. Credit cards paid off and money in savings plus I get the joy of being able to cruise around in an STi finally. I've wanted one ever since the GD's and that desire has only gotten worse with time. But spending 3 to 4 years putting myself in a position to buy an STi isn't exactly an unsound decision. However, debt for an STi is something I'm willing to do. I wouldn't do it for anything else. Especially another GM. GM can go bankrupt again without a government bail out and I'd be happy. Their actions surrounding the ignition switch really got under my skin. For many more reasons than just the fact that I drive a car effected by that issue. But that's a different topic.

Now back to this one...

Knocking the price down to $10,000.
