2010 ss/tc

Thinking about selling Melissa. I owe $20k on her so that is the asking price. I'm going to be buying something better on fuel, I have a 45 mile commute each way, filling her up every few days is getting old. All 25,000 miles are pretty much done on a freeway. I have pictures in my user profile and if you click the link in my subscription. I have a set of "STOP" trans mounts and a solid engine mount in a box that I haven't put on yet, all things considered I don't ask for a whole lot extra for the extra parts and stuff I have on it. You will also get my HP tuning cable and the 91 octane and ethanol tunes I have for my car. I still have the stock dp with cats so you can pass smog. All services have been done at a shop called GM exclusive in Vista, CA (clutch install, trans fluid, and oil changes)

If you have any questions hit me up on the cell 760-822-7030

Treadstone Cold Air Intake
Treadstone hot and cold side chargepipes
Treadstone TR8 intercooler
Treadsrone bpv block off plate
TurboSmart 52 mm bov
Treadstone catless dp
Borla xr1 muffler
EXEDY Hypersingle race clutch
TWM short throw with base bushings, and cable clamp
Ace: Concept 5 wheels 18x8
245/45r18 hankook rs3 tires about 70% life left.
And a Powell quick disconnect tow hookfor the front
And the trans/motor mounts from ttr waiting to be installed when I get off my ass.

Stock Turbo, RPD, G85, sunroof, 5% tint on every window except the windshield, all black interior, silver exterior low rise spoiler.

This is my daily driver so the mileage will be going up as time goes on.

VW golf diesel. 40+ MPG highway... I live like 2 blocks from the freeway I have to take all the way to work... so I'm hoping for some big hyper-miling numbers lol. I love Melissa but she is a bit of a thirsty girl compared to the golf diesel... plus that will leave me more money for my 59 Ford f100 build

I don't need to sell the car by the way... I'm not hurting for money I'm just hoping to send her to a loving home.

I know. I don't want to but daily driving her is burning up funds for 'ol bessie's build. I want me some fuel economy haha... gonna get a tdi golf for the long legs the fuel tank allows.

Yea dude but I like the new one's amenities... touch screen stereo, 36,000 miles of free services, dsg 6 speed gearbox, climate control, nicer interior... besides my friend had one and it fell apart... vw has gotten alot better in the last few years, there is a reason that they are like $3k

How far do you live from your work and what kind of gas mileage are you getting now?

I have about a 45 mile commute over the 78 and up the 15... +/- a mile or so. I'm getting like 25/26 on 91 octane and 22/23 average on the ethanol tune. I usually hit the cruise at like 75 though so I'm sure if I went like 60 I would get better fuel economy but I don't want my commute to be forever... time is money baby

I wonder if the difference is the 91 oct? We have 93 and I get 25-27 in the city(when not getting on it of course). On the highway I get about 32-35. I didn't think it would make that big of a difference. Good luck on the sale.

Thanks...

I think the difference between the two octanes would be minimal. I think the difference comes in the terrain... I drive on a huge 4 lane freeway between San Diego and Riverside counties call interstate 15. There are quite a few sizeable grades to go up... The fact that I leave the cruise on going up instead if trying to truely hyper mile is most likely the reason... if I use a sensitive right foot the fuel economy is good but using the cruise control the "instant MPG" drops to like 14 on the steeper hills. And I'm not even really in boost... like 2psi Max when it is cruising at 80. When I go to say, Arizona for example, the averageis much higher... I laughed the other day when I looked at my average miles perhour... haha 50mph. Truely freeway cruising at its finest. I never sit at street lights it seems like... and that's average over the life of the car so far. I have never reset it.
