For Sale 97 honda civic hatchback -90k miles- NJ
Yea. It seems like it's in really good condition, but a car that old, with that many miles... Seems like you may end up putting more money into it than you bought it for.
the only reason most ppl would buy this unless some random dude just wants a stockish civic is it put work into it. if i got this, the engine is getting ripped out and im dropping a k20a2 in there. id build it for an n/a set up. the whole swap would cost about 6-7K. so thats about 10K for a mid 12 second car thats in a good condition. i could buy one in worse condition for much cheaper, but to make it look good and get it painted it would be cheaper to just buy this one that already has decent paint and interior.
also, this is a honda. 90K miles in this thing is pretty low. it could easily get 200K with barely any problems. try to find another car for 3.5K that will last you that long in this condition. you probably wont.

1) Good gas mileage - Last long, easy to fix, cheap to fix parts, parts are everywhere... ect.
2) Gut them swap them to 5spd(if they're not already 5spd) drop a k20 in them, boost, and put them on the strip. I've seen these cars wreck!
But yeah, If you look on cl, you're really not going to find a good one like mine + cheap like it is.
Yeah you'll find ones for 2500... which are rust buckets with 130K+ miles, and in the worst condition.
edit: ahh dart you beat me to it lmao
I'm just curious as to why, if the car was babied, it needed new pistons at 89k? I've seen these things run well in the 200k mile range without having any internal stuff replaced. Just to usual honda maintenance they require. I mean, there's always that 1 car that has some sort of freak issue, but I was just curious. I might know a couple ppl interested tho, I'll direct them to this thread/craigslist ad.

Ohhhhhh lol those aren't pistons, those are liftgate shocks lol You should change that in the cl ad or you might be losin potential buyers cuz of it lol
Also by the way, Mike I think you might have your car sold really soon.
