Built 340+whp Cobalt SS/SC Turbo Swap For Sale
Built 340+whp Cobalt SS/SC Turbo Swap For Sale
Hey everyone... up for sale is my 340whp (more available with traction and more tuning)
less than 35k miles on the body... getting close to 4k miles on the new motor
M O D S - the good stuff...
Hahn Level 5 Turbo kit (it was actually lv 4 but I already had injectors)
Diamond Pistons 8:5:1 coated/ceramic crown .20 overbored
Pauter Connecting Rods
ARP Head Bolts
GM Neutral Balance Shafts
Solid Trans Mounts
3in catless exhaust, spiro resonator with magnaflow muffler 4in tip (exhaust has been coated from the header back... with a hi-temp black paint except for chrome tip)
Devil's Own Water/Meth Kit (currently not being used, as it is not needed at this time)
Spec Stage 3+ Clutch
Spec Flywheel
stock boost gauge
AEM Air Fuel
Progress Technology Springs
DC Sports front tower strut bar
SS Inteceptor Gauge
B&M Short Shifter
DriveShaft Shop Stage 2 axles
G85 Package with LSD & Recaro Seats
so on and so on.... if there is anything I can think of later I will add it.
Also the parts and labor on the car were done by a profession race engine builder, Justice Racing Engines in Winchester, VA.
I can provide info on the builder if necessary...
P R O B L E M S
Traction... lol
Car idle is a little wacky and is still in a learning process due to the larger throttle body.
Hot/Cold side turbo clamps need to be replaced with T-Bolt clamps as there is 20psi (more available with tuning) of boost in the car and the water pipe style clamps are not the greatest. 2 clamp adjustments have been made since being back on the road.
about the only thing left on this car to do would be some light suspension work, and she needs a wider set of tires. As we all know FWD and ass loads of power make for **** traction.
Anyway I am asking very little over my pay off for the car and I am taking a rather large hit as it is, so any SERIOUS OFFERS please PM me for details and price.
The car is running great with a conservative tune. Few minor glitches here and there with the IC pipe clamps, but otherwise it is everything that I built it to be... #$%^ing FAST.
I have not ran the car at the track yet, as I am still in a break in process with the clutch and giving the internals necessary break in as well. All test pulls in the car have felt strong, and she lights the tires up at 75mph in 3rd gear around 4k rpm.
I will post the dyno pics, and more shots of the car as soon as I can upload them...
Also, I am currently in the Myrtle Beach area, but arrangements can be made to see the car.

I might as well just post it up here so I don't have to answer 50 million private messages.
Anyway, I am asking a very firm $17,500.00
I wanted to post the car here to see if there was any interest from the css.net community before I put the car on ebay, craigslist, ect.
Right now I am in Myrtle Beach working, but have friends in the DC metro and Pittsburgh PA areas also, these are areas I also travel to about once a month so if you are in any of these areas and would like to see the car, again... send me a private message and we can go from there.

almost an illusion
Zack, that picture on the right with your Cobalt in motion? The building or whatever it is in the background at first looks like a huge blower coming out the hood. Tripped me out. I thought, "somebody done went and put a Cessna jet engine in their Cobalt.

Air/fuel is damn near perfect on WOT. The tuner was supposed to email me the dyno results but never did. I will be SURE to get them when I retune for the water/meth kit and such.
This car will take alot more boost and produce great results with proper traction. Right now the car is on what I would consider a "moderate break in tune" with more then enough ponies to keep ya happy. Very safe... as it is with strong pulls, and alot more to be tuned out if you want.
put the car up on modified car trader....
