Feeler- 2010 Cobalt SS
I'm just wondering what the car might be worth. I'm considering selling it to pick up a 335i or something similar.
car is a black coupe, 23k mi, has RPD, NON-G85 car.
Mods- K&N SRI, Injen CP, ZZP catless DP, 23psi trifecta tune, gen 4 headlights with DDM 8000k hids, matching hids in fog lights. Car has paint and interior protection warranty that is transferable to whoever buys the car. I have all stock parts including headlights and even original bulbs, and could put the car back to stock if desired.
What would you pay for it? I owe 23k on it so I know I'll be upside down, but I have cash to make up for it so I'm not worried. I see them locally going for over 20k, even private sale.

I still owe ~18K for my 2009. I have considered trading mine in. I told the guy that I wanted at least 15K. I go in Saturday to see what they would give me. I would probably sell mine outright for ~17.5K +/- $500 if I could find it. I don't have a bunch tied up in the engine though, mine is all in looks. So, that could be a plus or negative depending on your buyer. I have the same amount of miles as you but no RPD and yes G85

Bad credit and zero down. Got hit by a drunk driver in 2007, ended up with spinal damage and lost my job because of it. Got another job within 6 months but the credit damage was already done. I also had some negative equity in the car that I traded in for the cobalt. I'm not looking for the sale to pay off my loan, I know I'll have to shell out a few Gs. Just seeing what they're worth. In my area I see several going for 19.5k- 23k. There is a 2009 with more miles and the dealership is asking 21k for it. Just a side lol moment here, there is one dealer with a 2010 and they want 27k for it lol. Should be able to see it on auto trader if anyone wants a laugh. I'll post pics later today
Yeah still owing 23 is a damn good chunk, honestly though I've been to multiple dealerships and the highest I was offered was 17k
I've been to other dealerships and I've gotten offered anywere from 10k to 14k, the 17k was the highest
You could be offered more or less...don't know how dealerships are down there
Good luck man

yeah. I don't have to sell it, it's not like I'm hurting for money or anything. Was just curious and kind of want to upgrade. Not going to do it if I can't get out of this loan pretty easily though. I def don't want to roll any negative equity into a new car loan.
You seen one at a dalership for 21k... thats not a private resell value.... dalerships mark the price way up. They have to make money somehow. I be they bought the car for 14k and marked it up 7k. If I was to make an offer I say 15k
Unfortunately 13K is pretty close to what they are worth. Dealer prices are nowhere near what you are actually going to get for it.
Guy, you were upside down on the car you traded for the cobalt if I read it correctly, and now you are upside down with this one. You want to trade and spend good money to even yourself out. Not a wise move with the state of the economy. Do yourself a favor and keep the car and bank the cash. Drive it until it falls apart or you get an offer you can't refuse. Don't keep digging the hole deeper. Just a thought.
I don't know where you people are getting 13-15k from its a 2010 and the KBB trade in value it 18,150, Private party was 20,050. But still to the OP unless you just ran in to a good amount of money, I would just keep the car for a few more years and get some use out of it before you take a big loss on it to get into a more expensive car. That's just my two cents though.
