NY: FT/FS 2005 Subaru Legacy GT LTD Stage 2 MINT!
Up for sale/trade is my beloved 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited, manual transmission, with 69k miles. Ideally I would like to do a trade plus a MINIMUM of $6k cash from the other party, will consider pretty much any car. Would love something like an 04 GTO, Cobalt SS/SC, BMW 330i, Saab 9-3, Jetta GLI, Nissan 350z, Infiniti G35, RX8, etc. My asking price for outright sale is $16,000. The car is in EXCELLENT condition. It can be sold with or without modifications. I do not need to sell this car, but could use some extra cash to help with moving costs at the end of the summer. If it doesn't sell its not the end of the world, so I am not going to give it away, I also just spend over $1000 upgrading the clutch and flywheel within the past 5k miles, plus mods worth a few thousand dollars. It is very difficult to find a clean tastefully modded 5 speed LGT, if you have been looking you certainly know that.

I have seen quite a few 2005 SS/SC's around me go for $9,000-$10,000. I am asking $16,000 for my car, already have an offer of $15,500 but would prefer to trade so I am not without a car. $16,000-$10,000 gives you, well, $6,000 Thanks for your constructive post!

Actually, if you want to pull out book values, a 2005 SS/SC with 85k miles books at $7,000 in good condition. My car books for $14,500, so technically I am underpricing it...lol

Thanks, I know this isn't the ideal place but figured it couldn't hurt to post, the more exposure the better and it only takes a few seconds. Your right the cash offer is very tempting, and it is a good price for the car. Its another enthusiast who looked at the car and can appreciate it for what it is and how I have cared for it. The price I am asking would only be appealing to other enthusiasts such as that guy. I just want to exhaust all other trade options first, as that would save me from having downtime with no car. Thanks for your post!

Oh well, if I was in the position to get rid of my SS/SC (07 with low miles so 6K wouldn't work) this would be a good buy. Compare it to the new Malibu..Cheaper (being used), AWD, nicer interior,Turbo, etc.

How dare you compare my car to a Malibu!! lol (actually the new malibu's are pretty nice, but I wouldn't really compare the two, only thing in common is the four doors, haha) And I agree that 6k wouldn't work for an 07', I am looking for an 05 most likely. Honestly, I am hoping some people with different cars on here will see it and make offers as well. I have seen a couple 04' GTO's for $10k in my area, but none are looking to trade unfortunately. They are great cars, but unfortunately (or maybe fortunate for all of us) demand plummeted when the 05' came out, its like the 04 is diseased or something. I don't need the fancy hood and dual exhaust and LS2(although that would be nice), for ten grand I will be happy with a lame LS1 BTW cute pup in your signature
