Any particular reason your wanting to trade for a balt?

 

Like I said before its all about the styling, when I was shopping around for a car there was a beutiful Cobalt for sale in Ohio that I wanted bad, it sold the day before I had the full asking price, at the time the ss/sc where not that easy to find for sale used. I found the srt, almost new with insanely low mileage from a freind that I knew had babied the thing so it was a good deal, but everytime I see a Cobalt go by I have regrets, I havent raced since 2001 so the power difference means nothing to me, at this point in my life I want a car that I feel is more appealing to me, a lot of my fellow srt owners don't get it but the Cobalt is just a better looking car to me. Now if only I hadn't spent the small fortune decking this car out this would make more sense.

 

I suppose I should say this since it has come up several times in PMs, the car is fully paid for, I owe nothing and have the title. If I end up selling the car for cash then I will look at taking over payments but for now I am looking for a straight trade.

thanks for the well wishing, while I am not willing to travel to Cali. I should mention I am willing to do a fair amount of traveling, say a state or two.

 

what was the color of the cobalt you wanted to buy in ohio if you dont mind me asking

Hmm, Minnesota is a mean drive, whats that 19 hours 1 way? Might be too difficult coordinating the time off between the two jobs and family stuff but let me see what I can do. Really wish they had an auto train goin somewhere other than Florida out here.

Canada is actually not that far from here, something like 9 hours of non-stop driving to the border, not that I have ever contemplated hopping that border... I honestly don't think I am allowed into Canada right now though.

I ran into a guy yesterday wanting to get an srt and he had a burgandy cobalt ss/sc, he wouldn't trade based on the fact that his tranny was crapping out, I drove the thing and couldn't tell, gotta appreciate that kind of honesty. Based on the fact that no one anywhere near me is ready to trade (lot's of people still owe a good amount on the loans, damn me for being a cash buyer I could have swapped payments) it looks like the car will be up for a while. I will post any changes to the car (getting ready to put in a wideband, change rims and remove the spoiler) so there arent any suprises. I WANT an ss/sc but I am in no rush to get rid of the srt so who knows how long it will be up.

Kibosh3: nice f'ing lotus and if I get a wild hair I may hit you up and run up to Canada, I mapquested woodbridge, ON and it is about 9 hours give or take, problem is I am lazy, hate driving across town and not even sure if there are restrictions on trading vehicles between the US and Canada

 

Bump Nice guy. Hopefully you can get your balt and someone can get the SRT-4 they want. Good luck. Just don't trade it in to a dealer would hate to see all that would go to someone who will beat on it.
