Here are a few updates.
1. Lake county fair grounds pulled the plug on us for having the autocross there. So as of right now we don't have a place to hold the autocross.

2. Bart i have been speaking to these guys about the mobil dyno. This type of dyno mounts to the hubs so you have to remove your front tires.
I need to know if you members are still interested in this before I commit to them.

3. Any vendors who whis to display or sell at our show need to contact me for details.

 

Why did they pull the plug on us? Only other place that I know of to autox is Miller Park but I am not sure if there is a Brewer game that day or if anyone would want to drive that far. I do have a good replacement idea though if you can't find a place to autox. Set up a big race at Chicago Indoor Racing. I am sure with a big enough group we could get a good price on renting out the track.

 

I like the indoor racing thing.... I can try and see what they say for Sat night

How much would that cost? Would love to do it if the price is right.

 

I'm just throwing this out, but Toyota Park has a huge lot. I know they've held HIN events there with drift courses, so space shouldn't be an issue. It may cost a lot though, that is the only negative I see with it.

 

I just held an group event there and it was $70 per person. You got 3 20 lap races and then to get to the 4th race thats also 20 laps you needed to be one of the top 10 drivers from the third race. If there is a bunch of people though Tom might have to rent out the track which could be pretty pricey meaning it is either really expensive for us and or we have to pay in advance. Not really sure. But normal arrive and drive cost a maximum of $80 and a minimum of $75 for 3 races. Here is the website if you want to check it out.
