I just talked to an SCCA rep from the chicago region, and they run a even track day event every year on the first weekend in July on the Autobahn south track. The cost is $110 plus $15 for non SCCA memeber, it runs 3 hours, from 330pm to 830pm on the friday of the first weekend in July. I've done this event before and it's run well and we'd get about an hour and a half of on track driving. They have some instructors available also. I'm thinking this would be a great addition to next years meet. It's not a timed event just lots of romping and stomping. Who's up for this idea??

Definitely sucked leaving. Had a great time though! Was good to meet everyone.

 

Had a ton of fun for the meet on Sat... Glad i got to see a lot of old faces and meet some new ones. I had a blast talking with ryan, his friends, and ZZP (after most of the cars left). I went back to the hotel to find a game of cow bowling in the parking lot. (lol) Then going to dinner with a nice couple and a few others at bills pub. Eventually back to the hotel again to hang out and go to the pool with the beachball.

Thanks everyone had a blast. Im hoping for a Fall meet this year still.
