so this weekend me and a buddy went out to a carshow for the morning, after we left we always cruise around and do little races and were always dead even, so we wanted to see who was acctually faster, my mods on the car as of now are only k&n drop in filter and CIA turbo back with only a cat on it, and pedders springs, the VW has full bolt ons, turbo back, CAI, meth injection, unitronics tune at 21 psi i believe, crank pully, removed secondary air injection system and all vaccum lines, no backseats, turbo inlet pipe, diverter valve, intake mani gasket, good driver also

keep in mind we've raced before but just fooling around

so we line up 40 roll 2nd gear, and go pretty much dead even i honked so i may have gotten a little jump, but all of second we stay pretty much even, i NLS into 3rd still pretty even at the end of 3rd he pulled not even half a car, NLS again into 4th i believe we were around 125 at this point and i started to pull him ended a little more then half a car on him and let off just over 130

You don't have your Trifecta tune yet? With the tune you would've done even better.

yea he almost pulled me but when i hit 4th i ended up pulling him, and i think with the tune i would of deff beat him quicker

The most you'll see out of a K03 is about 230 engine HP. Hmmmm, now even with a K04 upgrade he would be pushing at most 260whp. You should have raped him and put car lengths.

Yeah, I've raced a fully bolted and tuned MKV GTI and put his ass to bed. A tune does wonders.

Are the MKVs on a K03 still?

Nice kill by the way. I love when I was almost stock and beat people that had tons of **** done to their cars.

i believe his car has the ko3, and yea its fun beating cars that have a decent amount of work done, and you dont

yes the MKV's are on a K03, but its a newer design(intergrated into the Exhaust manifold)


I think that you might want to ask him if he has a K04.

I think its closer to 3000Ibs for the cobalts. 2967-2980Ibs

I think the VW will weigh less.
