I'm getting ready to race my boss's 95 5.0 at the drag strip. He's heavily modded running with N20. His last pass he made was 12.8 at 106 w/o n20. All I have is the GMS1 and a K&N drop in. I'll most likely get a down pipe and BFGoodrich g-Force R1 drag radials. He said he wasn't going to use n20 does anyone think I'll come close to him?? My af interceptor recorded a trap speed of 108..

 

..... what type of race? Dig race? roll race? track? I think hes got you on this, should be close if he doesnt use the nitrous, if he does, your toast

Even with a drag radial the disadvantage of FWD will be the difference.It should be a good race though,post a video if you can.

 

Upgrade the turbo, get a tune and I think you will be goooood!

 

My buddies 85 5.0 on motor can run 12.5s. On spray he dips low low elevens. Hes got a small cam, nice heads, drag radials, and a 150 shot. A really heavily modded 5.0 is EASY ten seconds.

if your willing to laubch hard enough i think youll be close
