How come when I goto the 1/4 mile track the 1/8th mile time is 3 - 4 tenths faster then when i actually run at the 1/8th track. Went the other night to Ennis and showed a 9.923 I think 1/8th but I have never run faster then a 9.999 at the 1/8th mile track. Usually get 10.1's on street tires. Only thing I can think is that the 1/4 is a major NHRA track and preps alot better then the 1/8 mile amateur tracks around here.

 

All tracks are different but i feel your pain. I'm just the opposite. I ran 9.6's at our local 1/8th mile, when i went to a 1/4 mile my best 1/8th times were 10.0.

 

timing for the 1/8th mile on an 1/4 mile track is an est time. that could be why
