i have been on here for a very long time now. and such a remark has to come from someone who hasn't been driveing long. i will give props to the turbo ss's. some are fast. most are just a little faster than the older ss's. i am not on here defending the gto, because the guy was a ass. but if he new how to drive his car it would be a 12 sec car stock. prob is 90% do not no how to drive the irs car. my son had a old 04 cavi witth a stock 2.2 with nothing done to the engine. just had a 50 dry shot on it and he could milk a low 14 sec everytime at the track. it all depends on how well you know your car and how much seat time you have. congrats on the win!!! just do not get cocky and think that all mustang and gto drivers do that crap.

it never fails when i get on here someone has some bad crap to say about the gto. i did not say anything bad about the cobalt ss. just that some of the young drivers need to learn that the cobalt is not the fastest car around. and not every gto owner is a **** head. i know what my car does at the track, as most of you. on average the srt4 and the ss's are about the same. it does not take much mods to get the power to weight ratio to beat most cars that you race. and this is the ss site so it is ok to gloat. heck come up to ls1gto and you see it all the time. as far as the ss's vs the gto, well while i was stock i had never been beaten by a cobalt ss, even when i had the bad slipping clutch in i was still faster than the fastest 2.4tc or sc on here, as you have already stated a 12.9 is the fastest time yet. so i guess if the name calling makes you feel better about your car then go ahead chris. it's gonna be ok. just remember that you are the one who looks like the idiot on your forum not me...

remember i am not the one who started anything on here. everything i have said is true and i have not been starting anything. just because i only have 44 post doen't mean that i have not been on here for a couple of yrs. i just do not post on here much as this is usually what happens because i drive a gto. someone always thinks bad and says something vulgar towards the person who owns a gto. and you think i need to be banned. you guy's need to go back and read what you wrote and how it was intended. i really like comming over to this site and have put some good advise on other threads, but i am leaning towards makeing it one that i just visit and say nothing.

go to a GTO forum and quit posting here. Seriously, leave, cobalts get bashed on gto forums, f-body forums, mustang forums, god forbid we get some redemption on the **** talkers. Let it go, nobody called u out specifically in this thread, u came in on your own so leave on your own

well that is where you are wrong! i have not bashed anyone on here. as far as the gto sites. we have many guy's that come up and talk without anyone saying something bad about there car. as far as me, i have been called a ****** on here by some. it would make you get mad if someone did you like that on here. and you cannot tell me different. these sites were made so everyone can talk about cars. not to call people names and bash others car just because it is a specified site. i am a car guy and have been for 50 yrs. i am not going to stop now. i am a gm person because ford sucks real bad. and i really do like the ss's. you bought it because you like it. it's the same way for me and the gto. so enjoy what you have because if the world does not get better we all may not have the right to drive what we want in the future.
