WTF... I hate the track. The car sat for 30 minutes between runs with ice on the blower and the intake pipe. As soon as I started her up, IAT2 were at like 150*F and cooled to 130*F. That's what's killing me... heat. I need to find a way to cool the intake charge right before a run or while it is sitting in the staging lanes.

I just got tuned by WickedSS2005... and compared to last years GM Stg2 Tune slips... I improved my 1/8 ET & MPH... got consistent on my 1/4 ET... and my 1/4 TRAP went down! My AFR at WOT is like 10.1-10.3 :suicide: I'd like to get that to a decent 11.5. I'm not sure on my timing. AFR and IAT's are killing me. I'm missing A LOT A LOT A LOT of top end. This is very frustrating.

Trip #1... Me vs 04 350Z w/ Intake Manifold & CAI

Trip #2... Me vs Buddies Turbo SOHC Del Sol

Trip #3... Me vs 78 or 79 Chevy Nova SS - My favorite kill of the night (long story)

Trip #4... Me & Del Sol again.

I've got videos of the races as well... will post later. They are on my G/F's camera.

70's outside today.

Next time I am going to take 2 cans of Can-of-Air and spray the **** out of the Radiator/HE right before I take off. Maybe that'll help out a bit

Dude, WTF? You post all these videos beating tons of faster cars , proving that you obviously know how to drive, and then you get to the track and run 14's just barely trapping 102??? You either get stage fright or you raced the most non-driving retards ever.

I know. It kills me. It's eating at my heart... I can't take much more of it. The track just kills me deep inside.

What REALLY pisses me off, is that all 4 of those runs FELT faster than hell too. Its a pretty shitty track... I'm gonna blame their shitty equipment for my shitty times!

There was a new Charger R/T there... he ran low 15's.

SO it wasn't just me.

I just need to sell this bad boy and get my new car.

Really? Those 70* Ambient temps are my problem? What if I could change my Ambient temps to be somewhere around 30*... do you think that might help or would that hurt it?

My dealer told me that these Turbo Cobalt perform a lot better when it is hot outside.

You could run a small shot of nitrous to help cool the intake charge. Other than that, the high heat/humidity of summer will kill your times, nothing to be done for it other than wait for better fall air.

i guess you would sell your b alt if you lived in florida and tryed to go to the track because outside temps is 90. I would kill for 70 degree temps at the track

I know thats right. In Nov - Feb I run 13.80's @ 104+ pretty consistently. In the summer I'm lucky to see 100mph.... Last time I went (3 weeks ago) it was so hot and humid I was running 14.20's @ 97 There was a Lightning there that usually runs low 13's and he couldn't get out of the 14's. It was pitiful. Can't wait till next weekend I'll be up in PA, I'm dying to see how it does out of Florida's weather.

the track might kick you out for spraying water on your heat exchanger cause it will drip on the track while your going down it.

well let me tell you that my ss/sc and your ss/sc would be so close because I trap 103 but I am still having some clutch problems (why I have a ss/tc on order) 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear shifts were nothing but the clutch slipping. and still trapped 103. and that was a month ago when it was 93 out side at national trails. but I did 14.2 with a 2.2 60 foot. anyway we deff. have to have some ss/sc vs ss/tc races because we both appear to be pretty good drivers.

^^^x2 you cant be dripping any fluids. here they make us turn off the a/c in the staging lanes because of the condensation dripping.

USMCfieldMP- what mods do you have?
