1st 1/4 mile on e-85

Went to the track today, 1st time on e-85t in the 1/4. I had a previous post of 8.88 in th e 1/8 mile. So i wanted to see how my 1/4 mile times had changed, had a previous best of 13.9, but i managed to pull out a 13.3 at 108. My 60ft is stil lingering around the 2.2 mark. I still need to work on getting that down, im thinking if i can pull out a 2.0 then my top end would come down as well. My plans are getting my new clutch installed and some slicks, then i will go back. It was test and tune day, as far as 4 cylinders go, i was the fastest except for that evo. But i do advise, anyone with a tc, get e-85 if you can get your hands on it.

Not a bad run at all. Keep up the practice on those 60ft.

LSJ owner so cant say i have. Did run 100 on HOM mode but that dont count and honestly did not improve anything for me at the track. Sure felt different.

only 108 on a turbo with e85 on 24psi?

what's your altitude? temps?

my car would be in the 117-119 range I would think.

From: 6000ft on a Mountain in Colorado!
I can't do E85 which makes me sad. I don't park in a garage so every night here in Colorado is below 40*F so starting would be a pain in the ass!

Very nice run though

I think my clutch is slipping a lil because i have noticed others trapping a lil higher but it was also like 80 degrees at the track. This is like my 3rd time running quarter mile with this car as well. Still pretty much learning and trying different things on take off. Those were runs with just basic shifting as well. I tried nls on the first run and it started breaking up, so i didnt try it the rest of the day. Im a get my kentucky clutch 6 puck installed and some slicks and go back again and see how it improves.

I didn't even launch it, I was just seeing what it would trap. This was my first time back at the track in looooonnnnnngggggggg time, but I ended up running a best of 12.5@110 with a 1.7 60'.

I thought the OP would like this video, I freaking hate it. I'm still waiting for my friend to upload the videos of me launching it like a man.

This was at Fayetteville, and they test and tune almost every sunday ( closed this coming sunday ).

I did see your best run of that 12.5. I did manage to get a best of 13.3. My 60 ft was like a 2.21. Im hoping to get those down and work on power shifting to get a lil more time out of this thing. I have a clutch waiting to go in, but i work 50hrs a week, so its hard to get the time in to install it. And yeah, i liked the video, but i dont like the fact that i forgot to turn my high boost tune on. But still happy with the outcome because my previous run on low boost best was a 14.4.

Stock VIII turbo! the IX turbo's are a little bigger.

They should check out Force-Fed (Force-Fed Performance - Forced induction and tuning in Fayetteville. They do all Force inducted motors too. They should be bringing their 800whp Evo out to freaky friday this week I'm gonna try and run some low 12's too.

i think there is 3 different sized stock evo turbos. i dont know too much about them but i know there is an 80 trim stock evo turbo that you can get for cheap. my 2 friends both went that route and saw nice gains. and i think they only paid acouple hundred dollars

you are correct the 06+ IX turbo is the largest and best.
