Okay, here is a story that happened yesterday after a Brewers game. I was on my way home on the freeway and a guy and his buddies were in a 5.7 GTO and they are screwin with me like they wanna race. so we slow down to about 65 and we go, and he has a little lead on me until the boost kicked in , and then I went right by him. The best part was, when he had the lead on me his friend in the passenger seat was flipping me off and laughing, but when i passed him, his jaw dropped and he got sad.

haha, that guy in the GTO was an idiot driver or something. I got absolutely raped by a GTO when I was stock. Liek to the point where I couldn't see him. haha And the GTO was a 5.7L.

 

Yea, i expected a little more out of him, but it was from 65mph on the freeway.

weird...every SS/SC i've encountered didnt want to race me..

 

HEHE then you haven't encountered me yet..... I was racing a 2k4 z06 fri night... and if he didn't let off at 80 I probably woulda pulled up on him.... it was that close... didn't beat him but he was shocked I was right next to him.

 

 

Good kill, but I'm curious-what do you mean by "when the boost kicked in"? It should've instantly kicked in as soon as you floored it?

I was goin 65, and i can only take 2nd to around 60 before it hits off the rev limiter, so i went in 3rd, and it took a couple seconds to get higher rpm to really feel the boost.

 

Gotta get an hp tune.... pull 2nd gear to 77mph

 

damn, that much more, what does it change your rev limiter to?

 

I bumped mine up to 7400 (getting springs and cams soon) but so far no problems with it.. I only pull that high at the track though... I usually shift @7200, but on a data log run I hit 77-78 mph at the top of 2nd

 

hahahah i used to love picking on the 5.7L goats....But those damn 6.0's.........I still have nightmares from the way the last one molested me before my car broke. I had to file a police report the rape was so severe.

Ah I'm a has been now, Or maybe even a never was been? I feel like and old man with a bunch of stories and im only 23. I like seeing all the other cobalt dudes around now scraping it out. And they have you to guide them just make sure they dont get outta hand. Its easy to talk **** about being fast but when the time comes to back it up thats when they'll see what there made of. Money and al ong mods list doesn't make you fast. They havent learned that yet.

 

I know, I"ve been keeping these guys in check. ... but at least john is getting good now... even though I'm sure he'll wreck or get arrested soon... kid will run anything... I even got a chance to put these srt's in check...still haven;t lost to one yet... but the 50 trim dude still isn't running right so I think he may kill me... but I heard they take forever to spool, so I might be good on that.
