Back to the track this time with Stage 1!

Well it helps a bit, the biggest problem with this car is not that its not fast enough, its that first gear sucks *****. No traction = no good 1/4 time. Rather then buying stage 2 next week I will be investing in the Control arm bushings to see what that can do

I was running with a Stage 3 intense cobalt SS there though, I was actually faster and he was in teh 14.2's but it was like 14.27, so I beat him for the best time of the day

Damn we get no congrats. Jealious people LOL. Anyway, yea good job chris, what we need now is traction, even if we had stage 2, we would probably end up slower. Traction first, then we can get stage 2, and then Ill also get my header

Nice runs.
All that power is tricky to put down I bet.
You would need some serious tires for sure.
Keep trying, a 2.2 60 ft is possible on street tires.
Feather it right and 13.9 is yours!!!

Nice. Did you have to get into 4th, or did you make it in 3rd?

I was able to do it in third. At about 106 you have to shift into 4th. running 1/4 at 102 I was still in third before end of 1/4 mile.

I will be buying the Control Arm bushings in the next two weeks. IM hoping that will help bring my 60 foot down. I also will be going back to my summer tires instead of my all season winters. I should have an update in 2 weeks

Good run man. Not bad, especially considering your rolling on all season tires. I've got the JBP Control Arm Bushings and my wheel hop is gone (on the street at least, haven't been to a track yet). Get the bushings and your summer tires on and you'll be in the 13s. Get stage 2 and I'd bet you'll be doing mid to low 13s.

Get the bushings from Intense, they carry them now.

I ordered from JBP and after the tracking showed my order was accepted at the post office on 4/3/06 (and billed to my credit card), my bushings disappeared. None of the numbers I've found on Canada Post's website work from Florida and all of my emails sent to Canada Post and JBP have gone without reply. Stage 2 goes on Monday without the bushings, now, and I seem to be out $212.

Yeah, never ordered anything from Canada before and didn't even look to see where JBP was. Lesson learned...

Yea, me and my bro both have our All seasons on. IM assuming those who have ran better probably are doing it with summer rubber. I will have my stock tires on for the summer since I only put about 1-2000 miles on them before I put on my all seasons, so we will see how they do in the 1/4 compared to my all seasons. I also should have the control arm bushings to help my launch 60 foot

here is a lil comparo... i ran 14.6-9 @ 97 mph 2.4 60ft then i bought stage 1 and now i run consistant 14.2's with the same 60 ft's at 100-101mph so just being able to redline higher is helping me...... that trailblazer was running 14.2-3's and he had a corvette engine he was the RWD version he murdered the AWD one at the track so ill take that under my belt....

I also beat a 2.4 SS, Mustang GT (2004ish body modded) MR2 twin turbo, Ram hemi daytona,
2.0 intense kit SS s/c and a few others 12 runs! lol i ran about 9 14.2's i never let her rest just kept going back in lane (no lines )

I'd be careful running your car 9 times in a row, maybe your motor can take it for a bit, but your clutch won't!

I should be getting The weapon-R torque brace and the DC sports strut tower bar, hopefully with those two I'll be able to hit that 14 flat.

Yup i second that. Your clutch will turn to mush on you, that is unless your idle launching than its what ever.
