it doesn't add THAT much weight, but it doesn't hurt to remove em!

 

@ the CTS-V.... makes me wish i was there to run it.

Joe, strip everything out of the trunk, heck even take out the backseats. then put the front tire psi to like 20 and the rear to like 40 (Matt correct me if i'm wrong) and then let Matt drive it

 

No need to take out backseat, but jack up the rear to 40 and the front to 22-23psi is what I found works best.

Launch around 2200 rpms and "slowly ease into the gas as if you're pulling away from a light quickly"

After 5k, go WOT the rest of the run. Shift at 5800 in first and 6100 the rest of the way so you don't hit the limiter and misfire. That will remove the sluggishness when NLSing in between gears and keep boost high.

 

i only said the backseats to see if he'd actually do it.

 

lol, they're literally like 10lbs for each piece. not worth the trouble. I'd remove the sub before the back seats!

i live in boston, my brother in laws car is in MA at a tuning shop getting some work done. they took my car to MD and i get his car when its done. also it was nice to have my car not on the salty roads up here all winter

so when his is done im driving it down to them and taking mine back. but until then my sister is driving around my car and im not getting the work doen to it that it needs. anyways

there's a shop in Gaithersburg, Altered Atmosphere

they might have some. or you can hit up Cecil County Dragway on your way back.

they have a little race shop there and i know for a fact they sell pure methanol and they have a hose you can get some water at

 

now i wish i had hptuners with me i could run pure meth and see what it would do

 

I didnt know you all ran at Cecil, lol. I've never dragged before but I know Cecil does have TONS of ricers that actually LAUNCH in reverse. ***** hilarious.

I plan on racing the balt soon, but my friend and his 2000 z28 mod'd camaro runs a lot there we'll prob be heading up this weekend. His best time was a 12.9, his cars sounds sick its an auto.
