They were underrated. Most stock cobras ran 400ish + on the dynos. Usually around 420 ish.
Doesnt matter what those hondas are running. Id be willing to be there are MANY more faster mustangs out there than civics.
Id also be willing to bet that its easier to make a cobra RELIABLY faster than a civic. Especially considering most cobras gawk at 600+ HP.
There is no replacement for displacement, especailly in a V8. You can completely rebuild and boost a civic for 30 lbs of boost and make 400 horses, or you can boost a V8 for 15 psi and make 600+.
NTM RWD is MUCH better than FWD. You can boost that civic all you want, but launching that FWD is a real pain.

I agree with most of it. Although high hp boosted hondas have very nice top end. Yes they are at a disadvantage being fwd but they can pull hard up top such as from a roll. Yes I know thats not drag racing but so what. All of these cars mentioned have nice atributes. However, I'm not sure if you've noticed or if you really care, but I love hondas like I love the air that I breathe so yeah I can go on for a while about them.

. Everyone has their favs, and everyone has different tastes. I agree that there are a bunch of fast hondas out there. Personally, I dont like the way most civics look especially since most out here have shopping cart spoilers and riced out parts.Nothing bugs me more than a fart canned civic. WTH are those drivers thinking??

I dunno man, but even as much as a love hondas I'll find myself making fun of those rides too, but those fart cans are on all makes & models. I even see them on camrys. I seen a dude in a focus a few weeks ago with a fart can and he was flooring it and spinning his tires in the rain and he wasnt going anywhere. lol so what can I say?

this was an immature and pointless thread. Its a cobalt forum, we dont have to like hondas, theres other forums that talk **** about cobalts ALL the time, including honda forums, so why does that make it ok for them to do it? It works both ways, and it has been said before, ANY car can be made fast, same with the cobalt, as its been proven since the people that own the cobalts that can beat your car, were excluded from your challenge, how convienient.
I dont care if they have more money, if they can afford to buy a cobalt SS in the first place, they obviosuly have more money to begin with compared to paying $3000 for a civic. Theres a million honda owners that pick on domestics like mustangs for example, alll the time but i can name handfuls of mustangs that can **** kick hondas daily. You can buy an nothcback mustang shell for like a $1000 Throw in a 306 small block and slap on a turbo, a tune and bam, your in the 800hp range, its been done all the time.

I will make sure Blown 4-banger gets there if there's going to be a race. We are "neighbors" and I will help him tune that car so help me god if it has to put the butt-hurt on an already inflammed civic owner.
