I have a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T Daytona with a Mopar Cold Air Intake and Mopar Performance Exhaust.

What do you think would be the outcome vs a Cobalt SS/SC? SS/SC S2?


I was thinking that the Charger will take it off the line but in the long run the Cobalt running it out?

And how about at the track? That is what is making me curious, cuz I wanna run it this weekend.

I ran a hemi c from roll in my SS/NA.

It wasn't pretty.

The faster we went the more I pulled.

From a dig they will beat me, and it is a driver's race from a dig between an SS/SC and a R/T or a Hemi C

 

Yeah, I won't be doing any of that roll race bullshit.

I'm talking heads up here.

I am assuming the 300C was stock?

And did you have mods?

On the track, for sure the s/c but from a dig, like always, it depends on both drivers.

I want to see what my baby will do against a SS/SC from a dig.

It's really a driver's race with a slight edge to the R/T for having RWD

Now don't get me wrong, the SS/SC is gods new car, but my Charger pulls real hard.

my friend has a 300c hemi w/ intake, chip, and exhaust. i have a custom tune full 2.5 in exhaust w/ high flow cat injen cai and poly tranny mounts. from a dig we are dead even (he pulls a car off the line but i catch him by 2ndgear) even till 120 then he pulls away. from a 40 roll i pull about to cars on him and hold him off untill 120 then he starts reeling me in.
His best track time was 13.9 @103 i believe. iv never been to the track but im guessing im in the 13.8-14.0 range

if you have stg 2 you should do just fine

I think stock, I can take on from a roll or dig.

Stage 2 is a different story of course, because nothing is faster than a SS/SC S2. lol

 

I don't have a SS/SC just to let you know.

I think most of the people on here have realized that stg 2 isn't everything. But however is is not a weak mod for the money.

yea this isn't biased at all... the r/t traps near 100 and a guy with a bolt on 2.4 supposedly takes them down, and it's the ss/sc "hands down" It's a drivers race by all means.

my cobalt smoked everything that had that bogus 5.7 hemi in it, at the track and on the street but i also dusted a stage 2 cobalt..

We make power up top and in low gears...its just hard for some drivers to put that power to the ground because it is a fwd car

 

I'm getting the power to the ground, but I'm not stage 2. Still on the stock tune. I'll run you. Come to Utah. I'll even pay your entrance fee to the track.

 

As a owner of both the SS/SC and a R/T,

My SS/SC stock ran 14.6s and my R/T stock ran 14.1s
With a bunch of mods the SS runs 13.4s...
With 3 mods the R/T runs 13.6s....

Depending on the cars mods, it could go either way...

 

my buddy has a charger rt ran a 13.5 in the quarter thinks he's gonna beat you by far
