Thats right. Jason Whitfield who is best known for his sick fast hondas has gone chevy. He is now runing a 2006 Cobalt SS SC that has been built and turboed. The car is sick! And can be seen in this months HCI mag and last months as well.
Is gole is a 9sec pass on car that can be driven on the street.

No it's not. It's a fully prepped and built GM Racing Block with a GM Racing LSJ based head mated to a GM Racing 4T65 transmission.
The GM Racing motor is based off the LSJ motor but it has some changes. The head is just a ported version of your very own LSJ head. Of course everything inside is completely different. The transmission on the other hand, that's a beast of it's own. Completely reworked throughout to hold TONS of power. Man I love that combo.
There's a couple people around who know why I know so much about his car and the combo. Hopefully within 6 months EVERYONE will know why I know so much about it. LOL. I'm getting tired of keeping this secret.

As for the transmission Jason also states that it is in fact a automatic one, all be it a racing one from GM.
