Evo on slicks + e85 and has a 48mm inducer stock turbo vs the cobalt with street tires on gas and a 43mm stock turbo. What do you expect...

Not trying to be a douche troll. If the Cobalt beat me, I still would have posted it. I have a video on my channel of a GTR kicking my ass, but that doesn't bother me in the least. I'm an enthusiast first, fanboy second. I just like racing.

I actually like the Cobalt SS TC ALOT and would greatly prefer to daily drive one versus my Evo.

Also, AGAIN, I do apologize for the double post. If I had known how active of a forum this was, I would not have done that. This seems to be a really cool community and even more active than Evolutionm.net. If I can ever race my buddy in his 400whp SS TC, I'll post that too - should be quite a bit closer . Cheers.

As to the class, I haven't decided yet. I'm really not looking to win any of the classes, I just want to run a sick time and break the damn stock turbo/cam Evo record of 10.88. I'm probably going to run in multiple classes so that I get more runs. Do you have any suggestions?

What did you trap there? 108? I couldn't quite tell. I would race you if we lived anywhere close. From a dig I have a FWD and street tires, so I'm sure you'd kill me, but from a roll...well, I trap 117 in the 1/4, so that might be a bit more fun :-)

Oh ****...I thought 108 was slow for low 11's, but I don't know enough to know if it would be possible with a sick 60' like the Evo had. An old beetle at the local track does 12's with a 103 trap, so who knows?

Thanks man. That run was actually my highest trap speed to date: 122.5mph. My car was also pretty well gutted on that run. If you notice in the video, I don't have any mirrors (or wipers) - made for an interesting drive to the track and in rush hour the next morning.

When the car isn't gutted and the mirrors arent removed, it usually traps 121. When the wing is on, it traps 119. Needless to say, the wing won't be going back on until after MIR.

no one is really hating. It is a badass car and everyone has complimented on it. Its just when an evo guy comes on a cobalt forum and posts a race of him whoopin on a cobalt everyone is going to suspect a troll... but as weve found out he really isnt a troll and just a car enthusiast.

you can only compete in one class have you ever run at MIR before??? its a very very very sticky track a lot of awd cars have a hard time launching a lot of ppl break things because they are not use to catching so much grip i would at least try to get a practice run or two in before the event in november

as far as classes to be on the safe side i would do the 10.50 index if you think you are going to beat the 10.88 record the rules will be posted on 9/15 so i would check back for sure to pick one
