So IM cruising on my way from work last night and this neon is coming up kinda quick. Looking out my side window I notice it has a small wing, no badges, and dual exaust. I laughed at first like "Check out this ricer" and couldnt believe her rolled up on me like that. Well I just went ghost right quick and cut in front of him and shot out past traffic then switched lanes and slowed down. I was kinda amazed that he even kept up the way he did but still thought he was maybe a modded reg neon LOL. We go from a 40 he took a bit of a head start but I easily matched him and then started to pass. We only went up to 80 but I put about 2 car lengths in between us with ease. we then stop at a red light and IM waiting for this thing to turn green. It was wet out so we both had pretty bad launches but he pulled ahead from the dig, and I played catch up. Needless to say I caught up passed and put quite a distance between us before he started to slow down, but not as much as I was expecting. (thought my car was messed up LOL). Well we pull off to another light and he rolls his window down and we start talking. He said "Yo I slowed down back their cause my radar detector was going off and I was like yo buddy slow down!" I was like sheet I didnt see him. The light turned green and we start to drive off in first and as he shifted into second while we where talking I heard his BOV. At that point i was like WTF! He complemented my ride and said "that **** is nice and sounds mean man!" I said thanks but at that point we where going too fast to talk any more so he turned off and I went strait.

Moral of the story is that was either a Turbo'ed Neon, or an SRT-4. Stage 2 w/ 2.8 and supporting mods = blow its doors off

 

Nice. I'd love to run a Cobalt with your mods.

jeremy what color was his car? probably my boy there is a few delaware SRT-4's debadged, there is even a 96 neon wiht a SRT-4 engine in it

 

I dunno, but he was kool peeps compared to alot of the ass holes on the road. Merc, yea I ran a better time. Still getting crappy launches, stock tires suck *****. I was getting 2.1 and 2.2 60 foots w/ less power when I had my winter Perelli's on. I average 2.25 - 2.4's now w/ these crappy pieces of rubber. My stock summer perelli's suck ***** and when they are dead I am never touching another set of these things. Heres a vid of my new best 13.7
