Drag Day May 22!

So I'm getting prepared for Drag Day once again and just wanted to know what little I can do to be ready. So my list of things below:

A.) Change Oil

B.) Change Spark Plugs (will this help or should I not bother?)

C.) Check coolant ( Low coolant light was on, filled it up it went away unitl yesterday it
popped up and disappeared quickly)

D.) Brand spankin new tires put on for $70's at the local tire shop

E.) Clean up my caliper's ( oh yea extra HP!) just to look good you know.....

F.) Stage kit's........CA Stage 1???.....GM Stage 2???......under $1000 bucks plus install???

Oh yea, and I need to install the Ingalls Dampner too bet that'll help.....any feed back is greatly appreciated.

One more thing, my buddy has a IS5 Kit, but took it off to send to the dealership for repair. He said I can use it for this Saturday (Dyno Meet), and Drag Day. The only problem is the Supercharger is beat the f@%$ out, I mean it's still good but I think the screws are rubbin or something. Anyone see a problem with it being temporaily installed on my car for a week or two??? LET ME KNOW Thanks!!!!

A) Always a good idea when beating on your car at the track. Try Royal Purple or AMSoil, I've heard those are even better than Mobil 1. I just did an oil change with RP for the dyno and track days. lol

B) Unless you are having problems or you have alot of miles, I wouldn't bother. I just changed mine because I was throwing a random misfire code. Couldn't hurt to pull them and check the gap though.

C) Definately good to have coolant before running the car hard. rofl

D) What kind of tires?

E) I just did too. It helps on the dyno.

F) I did some of the math. If you get the GM stage 1 and the stage 2 beltfrom Crate engine Depot as well as the 2.9" modular pulley system from Smoothflow Pulleys, it comes out to a little more than $520. Not a bad price for more power than the stage 2. Install shouldn't be too bad either. I wonder how much Jannetty's would charge to do it.

The ingalls should help traction considerably. Excluding a missed shift, your 60' determines your ET.

What is an IS5 kit?

Nice but Track day was canceled so I've got some time to squeeze some extra hp in before I'm ready, I just got Kuhmo Ecstas put on, not bad but not the best. Oh an IS%(Intense Stage 5 Kit) I wonder what Jannetty would charge also ......free of charge or else

Jannetty has another track rental day in September which would give you plenty of time to get a few more ponies to the ground.
