Practice...That's about all we can tell you. Don't worry about r/t right now. Just focus on getting a nice hard launch. I rev to about 2500 and drop the clutch. Still get wheel spin like a mo fo cause traction sucks monkey nuts.

But, it's gonna be practice that will net you what you are looking for. Also, there's a 'How to' for launching on stock pirellis. Check in the how to section. I promise you its there somewhere.

That's because your car doesn't have enough power to lose traction

Ok that made absolutely no sense. Your post was absolutely useless. "just dump the clutch."

street and track are entirely different man. go to the track and practice. and when you do my .02 is pretend your leaving from a stop light, just a tad more aggressive. spin or hop is a no no

i went to the track and couldnt catch traction or hook to save my life...left the track pissed, stopped at the freeway on ramp...and launched like a ****...hooked right away, no spin just a chirp in second gear....wish the track was like that

So true. I tend to get excited trying to beat my previous time and completely blow the launch because I launch it too hard and just spin or start hopping the front end...Rotated Trans mounts can't come fast enough.

Dumping the clutch in a SS/SC will result in a shitty, slow-ass 15.09. I ran some 14.2's by releasing the clutching like you would under normal driving conditions. After releasing the clutch I would apply the throttle evenly and steadily through 1st gear, trying to make sure I keep the tires on the edge of losing traction, if that makes any sense.

I other words PRACTICE!

be the first to line up at the tree... pre-load your rpms meaning rev the motor... hold e-brake and engage the clutch until you feel it pull slightly... and just hold the e-brake than when you see the 3rd yellow say ONE outloud... than just release the ebrake and hit the gas. pre-loading will prevent shock to the tranny and the driveline, and the exhaust because the engine will be torqueing already so your flex pipe will be happy also. i actually made a little contraption lol for the button on the e-brake only for the raceway so that button is always pushed down cause before i let go of the ebrake and it would lock lmao... i'm like nah f-this i'm making something to never have to worry bout holding that damn button down. oh also drop your front psi to 22 and your rears up to like 35

That's actually a very smart technique for launching. It can result in burning the clutch up a bit quicker but can greatly reduce the risk of breaking axles! I usually tell people just before there ready to go release the clutch so you bearly start to roll forward then go into normal launching mode to reduce drivetrain shock.

i'm on stock clutch at 40k miles and she still grabs fine cause i follow the how-to save your stock clutch lol. but it works perfect. and if my clutch did go at the track. at least i could semi drive it home super slow and not getting on it. as opposed to snaping something in the drivetrain... and than waiting for a tow. idk just my 2 cents i guess lol

you put them in your rear spings and pump them up with air so that when you launch you dont get weight transfer off the front tires and loose traction...helps keep the weight over the front tires
