Dyno results

I made 353whp and 431 ft lbs on the dyno today at ifo in Baytown, Texas. SHops name was, C.U.N.D.N out of pearland, tx

Mods are 24 psi trifecta tune, catless dp, k&n intake, injen charge pipes, muffler delete and of course a k&n and injen sticker under my hood (100whp off those). 4th gear pull @ 3k. I weighed today with me in @ 3,125.

Let the flaming begin

That seems extremely high for a trifecta tune and no E...

I'm not being a hater in the least bit, but that's a straight up dyno operator fail. Sorry but those just aren't realistic numbers for a stock turbo 24psi tune regardless of it being trifecta or hptuners. For ***** and giggles you should have switched that bad boy over to the stock tune and also posted up the dyno graph of you making 290whp 300wtrq on the stock tune. I'm guess you would have no problems with making those numbers with the way the dyno operator had things setup for you. At least you would have seen your true gains at that point.

Tell me I didn't make 353whp and 431 ft lbs and ill prove you all wrong

No but in all serious, I laughed when he told me those numbers. Those numbers do seem far fetched but if anyone asks, I got a graph to prove it

I'm wondering if weather and elevation play into how well you did? I'm just wondering; I'm no dyno expert, but I'd imagine that since we're at sea level and that it was an avg. of about 60* today that it had to play some kind of factor????

The dyno is calibrated (or sometimes, like this case maybe not) to correct for temp, humidity, altitude, etc.

true, the OP mentioned this was at IFO-Baytown, TX, so iirc, the dyno would be outside exposed to the elements. But I could be wrong (most likely)....

Hey, don't blame me. All I did was give the company $50 for two pulls, disclosed my weight, what gear and what rpm. They did the rest.

Mods, please put me in the lnf dyno results thread with the highest hp/trq on 93 lol

i'm not blaming you for anything....i'm just throwing up possible reasons why those numbers are the way they are. Like I said, though, I'm no expert, but that does seem pretty high for a trifecta non-e blend tune. The last guy in our area to get that high a hp with 93 and high boost was a few years ago, and he had a slipping clutch and did the "pill" mod (which I don't recommend you do).

There was a guy there a year ago with a stage 2 lsj who they dyno'd and they claimed he put down 286hp. Yes that is a very happy dyno for sure.

idk bro, but if you doubt your numbers and want a known good dyno around our area, try FWD Performance. They charge about the same for the same amount of pulls.

Guys, I'm not being serious that I believe those numbers. I know they are way far fetched. I'd say I'm around 310-315whp and 340-350 ft lbs if I had to guess.

Dyno numbers are bragging rights... I ran a 13.4@110.5 today with a 2.28 sixty

Ill look into it. Maybe we could get a group together for a dyno day?

sounds good. I have a lot of my guys doing some significant changes to their whips (myself included). So a dyno day sounds good. not sure when would be good for most, but i imagine it would be soon so we can take advantage of this weather of low humidity.
