I put one of these in my GTI... filled it with water, and it froze!!!11!!!!

I was able to clean up the mess with a 50/50 mix of ammonia & bleach - worked like a charm.

That's why I bought a Cobalt, don't have to worry about that.

i know i love the added traction! i cant wait for this weekend. im going to a body shop and having a useful spoiler attached to my car so when im traveling upwards of 150mph i can get even more rearwheel traction for all the power. getting this

Another good way to keep good traction is to keep mud off of your tires. and what better way to keep mud off of your car than mud flaps?

I've got these bad larrys on my car, and they work real good. I never have to worry about people tailgating me

awesome idea! plus think of the added weight in the back for drag racing!!!! i got a 4 inch exhaust tip on my car for added weight in the back (which heps alot!)plus the added bonuses of increased air flow, AMAZING sound, and of course the looks. it fills the exhaust gap beautifully. i cant wait to go to the track this year, im gonna tear it up

anyway, lets get back to the task at hand. and that is trying to create the best traction on the track. apparently randizzle doesnt understand how important proper weight distribution can affect track times. does any one else have ideas on how to get weight to the back wheels on our cars? i saw this recently and was thinking this would be great. great weight addition and added traction!!! PLUS THE BONUS OF LOOKING AWESOME!!!

i actually came across a great idea i heard from another forum. its moderatly expensive for some people BUT the traction improvements you see are way better then any of the previously mentioned ideas (minus the dead babies of course). basically buy some coil overs, ksports are my personal fav, and since they are adjustable lift the front up as much as you can and lower the back as low as u can before you rub, as you accelerate the weight will transfer back much easier thus getting traction to your back wheels. we owe thanks to the redline forum for that wonderful idea.

isnt it obvious that i know what im talking about. every single idea mentioned in this thread will work wonders and quartmile times... last time i checked traction to the back wheels is the most important thing you could do for our cars. as for weight distribution, i know all about it. ask any question about weight distribution lol

If you're thinking about taking your car to the track, why not put tracks on the car?

if im an idiot would we be coming up with all these amazing ideas thats gonna be sure to improve track times? just wait some time next week i will start a thread regarding auto cross traction and ways to improve traction to front wheels for steering and not just the back wheels for acceleration. for example the front hood mounted spoiler, which we will get into in a later installment. im surprised people are not coming up with any other good ideas! have i hit on all of them. im sure there is something im missing.
