Finally can say I run 12s
Finally got all tuned my James and headed to the track today. I've still got to work on launches but all and all pretty happy with my first time at the track with the tvs

I'm also wondering about tires. A 2.0 60 foot would imply you don't need to work on launches lol
I'm pretty excited. I'm running similar mods and will be tuned by ccss3 soon. Hp tuners is in the mail. I just won't be running a 14 gph nozzle lol

Thanks guys! I'm on drag radials. I could lay down better 60fts but I'm having problems getting my car to stick and do a good burnout. It keeps wanting to pull my car no matter how hard I rev it up and dump the clutch. But I'm only doing it in 1st. Perhaps maybe I'll try doing a burnout in second?
I ran a brand new Challenger SRT8 and beat it. I ran a 12.91@112 and he ran a 13.03@106. It was a good race.

2nd gear burnout. rip back on the ebrake till it won't pull up anymore. 1st gear won't get near enough wheel speed to heat them up, they may still smoke a bit and spin, but they need more than that. what drag radial are you using?
actually i think i've seen a picture of your car with those tires now that you mention what they are.
the way i do my burnouts is i pull through the water box right at the edge of where the water ends and track starts. so when you dump the clutch you're still barely in the water but then once you start spinning you're on the track. i dump it about 6-7k then just go wide open. it'll hit the limiter a few times but it ain't gonna hurt anything. i've got a video of one of mine but i wasn't holding the ebrake enough and it still pulled me forward. should have got a video of the later ones. talk about a smoke show lol.

Sitting ring side when he was burning out. (and im the other time on the slip, haha sweet 60ft i know.) he would spin the **** out of them and as soon as the tires start to get warm he just starts dragging his back tires. No smoke. Im pretty sure they were still wet a couple of times. The other thing i kept noticing is that he would start spinning and a soon as 1 wheel would begin to get traction it would just stop spinning... Open differential FTL.
Maybe more speed and second gear is your solution. That sounds a bit tricky no?

pull through the water box, stop at the edge. clutch in put it in 2nd. rip the ebrake and rev to 6-7k and dump the clutch and go wide open.
