First race

Went to the track today for the first time. My best run was 9.917 in the 1/8. What do you guys think?

i've never owned a ss/sc, but with your mods i'd think an 8-low 9 second 1/8th is where ya should be at.

for a first race though, one is always off a bit. so yea just keep up with it and you'll figure your ride out

Traction was my destroyer today. Added to the fact that I don't had G85 and my tune is too rich, it's a respectable time. I'll get better though.

G85 really doesn't help in a drag race. AutoX yeah but not a drag. Work on your 60' for sure. When I had my SS/SC I was getting low 2.1 60's on the stock pirelli's and no G85. Rev to about 2-2.5K RPM and roll out of the clutch smoothly, don't dump it. Practice makes perfect.

I honestly think it was mostly traction stuff. My rt was like .610 on average but it seemed easier to spin than it does on the street.

reaction isn't going to effect your ET. a 9.9 is a 9.9 regardless of if you hit a triple 0 light or wait five minutes

Well it was fun. Everyone here was real supportive and liked the car. I'm ordering OTTP stage 2 soon and I've heard the tune is tons better. My current tune is so rich that I spit some black smoke out.

How often do you go? This was my first time even as a spectator.
