First Time Dragging in the Cobalt

Well, last night me and a couple LSJ's and a few SRT's and the rest of you know what went out to the 1/8th mile last night. BTW 1/8th mile = GHEY! lol. anyways, didn't do too bad in the ss for my first time in it. It's been about a year and a half since I've raced a FWD car at the strip and it's been since September since I've been to the trip. I think with a little more seat time, a 9.3 would have been possible.

60"=2.233
330=6.242
1/8=9.531
mph=72.57

the shifting right as I crossed the finished line really was hurting me, so I tried to shift a little earlier into 3rd but that didn't help any either. Traction was a problem. On that particular run, I got a lot of wheel hop and bounced off the limiter in 1st. Kind of scared me cause I didn't want to break and axle or anything. Made 4 passes total, the other 3 passes were all pretty consistent. All 9.7's with 2.4 60ft. I decided to be easy on it after the wheel hop run. anyways, not a bad night for me though.

BTW, the other LSJ's where stage 2 with some other mods and one couldn't get better than a 9.7 and the other no better than a 9.6 I think. So everyone was pretty impressed with my runs. There was a stock SRT that could only pull a 10.02 at best. lol. people really need to learn how to drive.
