First time ever at the track

Well I made my maiden voyage down the strip today. Kind of disappointed in what I ran but I had fun with it.
First run ever: 15.06 @97mph 60ft 2.60 and I was up against this

Nothing like getting your ass handed to you by a low 11 sec big block nova huh?
Best run was: 14.44@101 60ft was 2.46 and I beat a new Mustang GT
Had traction problems of course, spun pretty good through 2nd. My last run was against a civic hatch and we both ran a 14.8 my clutch slipped in 2nd and I missed 3rd lol.
And the best part:
Yes those are smoke stacks on a neon coupe. This guy was so proud of his car and his times. His times? 19.9 at 67mph.
Thanks for looking, any suggestions for next time I race are appreciated, thanks!

not bad for your first time but it should be a lot faster with those mods.

I know I was hoping to at least break 13's but after my clutch slipped on that last run I called it quits. It was just me trying to get my staging and launch right today. Thanks!

Lol that sucks! I actually didnt go up with them, that was way to far up north for me to run and risk breaking something. Stopped at 41 Dragstrip in Morocco, Indiana on my way home.
