First Time at The Track

Sat. april 11 was my first time at the dragstrip. Temp. was 45 degrees but sunny, with a 20-25mph wind coming straight at you. Got in 5 runs total

1rst run and worst run
60' 2.729
330' 6.746
1/8 9.700
mph 84.39
1000' 12.198
1/4 14.322
mph 106.11

best run
60' 2.243
330' 5.923
1/8 8.787
mph 86.35
1000' 11.242
1/4 13.335
mph 107.53

I was hoping for a better time than that, but for my first time I guess thats not bad. Also how bad do you think the 20-25 mph wind coming straight at you hurt for time.

I feel you on that, if I can get a video up you can hear me peddle it through 2nd and it just keeps spinning.

THANKS, see I was hoping for a better time than that seeing guys running in the 12's with my mods. There was another ss/tc there with a trifecta tune and his best run was a 14.2 all day, he is on the site but I dont know his name. I a thinking about drag radials and a down pipe, if I do that do you think I can get in the 12's and remember the track temps were only in the 60's.

Yah that 60 can still be improved some, your car has 12's in it for sure.

Nice runs.

Damn Bro that is a great time for your 1st time at the track. I think it goes to show how bad my track is prepped or how slow my shifting is, LOL. I have the same mods as you, minus the STS, and on my best time my 60' time was 2.3, but I only ran a 9.1 @ 84.4mph. Either I need to shift faster, or my track sucks, I think it's alittle bit of both, LOL.

The track we are at is one of the top 5-10 in the contry, it holds the NHRA nationals every year.

What NHRA Nationals are you talking about? I know Indy holds the U.S Nationals every year. What is the name of the track you go to?

Summit Motorsports Park, in Norwalk, Ohio. It is owned partially by John Force and it holds the summit NHRA nationals, http://www.summitmotorsportspark.com/

Yea I was running better than alot of camaros and some newer GTO's, trying to upload one against the GTO, one of them went 11.1 on a fully built motor with no other power adders.
