Had tires at 26psi and tried different launches at 2k 2.5k and 3k.

I also ran -- 14.1 at 104 -- 14.48 at 105 (missed gear) my 60 foots were all horrid, around 2.5. Was hoping for a 13 second run but JUST fell short.

Had a good time. Got yelled at twice. "TURN YOUR LIGHTS OFF!" and "PUT YOUR WINDOW UP!" haha

 

I ran 13.3 at 110 all three passes last night. can't manage better than a 2.2 60'. What tires are you on?

I know about the windows, Are you sure the guy wasn't telling you to put them on? At a certain time before it gets full on dark, or track tells us to PUT on our lights.

 

Next time you go to the track lower the pressures to 20-22 my best is a 13.97 @ 103mph. Only thing done to my Cobalt is a drop in K&N Filter. Good time though.

 

Auto lights. They always come on when i start it. When I looked around I saw that I was the only retard with lights on. Switched them to ambers

 

Thanks man I'll give that a try. Looking at the vids it seems I was spinning too much. Maybe I'll ease off the line a little more next time.

 

1/8mile tracks dont normally make you, at the 1/4mile track by me if you dont roll them up you can't run

Try some stickier tires.

 

With some practice those ets will drop, I also made some Runs the other night and managed a 13.3 @ 108 with just a drop in filter and trifecta tune.

 

Your 1/8 mph is there. Get the launch down and the ETs will drop. There's at least .500 to be taken off all together.

 

Damn, I was going to go to maple grove Friday night too but a had to work overtime that night. I wanna see what kinda times I can get being on E47 now. I heard Cecil was a better track to run at. Was it packed at Maple Grove?

lol when i went down the track on my first run he went "its a chevy...a chevy...i think its a cobalt" then of course i had the people walking by my car in the staging lane going, oh nevermind its not an SS. god damn 2.4 haters

 

Cecil is definately the track to go to if you want to get the best time out of your car.

I was originally was just going to the track this one time, since im planning on trading in the car. Just to say I did it. But now...I think I'm going to hold off..i need to hit 13's before I can let go of her.

 

It was crowded. All six lanes pretty much full. I was there at 6 to close and only got 3 runs in.
