First time at the track

well i think the next mod is gonna be a driver mod, cause i cant launch this car for ****. Im really happy with the trap, not very happy with the ET. Anyways heres the best so far

Reaction .3430
60ft 2.3329
330ft 6.3751
1/8ET 9.5010
1/8MPH 78.80
1000ET 12.1622
1000MPH 92.32
1/4ET 14.3718
1/4MPH 102.57

So the car has the power, i just cant handle it. Im also running rich right now, my tune is the GM stage 2 tune, which is a 3.069 inch pulley, my pulley is 3.1 inch. I threw a code at the track after a few back to back runs, im assuming it was a rich code cause it went away after i let the car idle a bit. I also noticed when i removed the oil cap i could smell gas pretty strong. So i think its time to drop a few sizes. A 2.9 inch pulley should work well.

Did you have wheelhop?? All of my best 60' times have come with NO wheel spin= no hop,hop,hop... My best 60' is a 2.182 by slipping the clutch slighly (leaving @ about 2000 rpms or so) coming out of the hole& then pressing throttle down steady to floor in 1st. Hitting rev limiter& granny shifting also kills ET. I have over 25 runs on my car, so practice make perfect (or a lot better anyway). BTW, my SS/SC is totally stock except for air box mod w/ AEM filter.
