First trip to the track

Alright, so I went to the dragstrip for the first time today with near blad tires, a full tank of gas, and a sub. Explains my bad times... Not going to list them all, too many.

1st run: 15.861 @ 88.87
3rd run: 15.733 @ 88.13
Last and best run of the day: 15.701 @ 88.06

I couldn't hook off the line at all because the tires are just about bald, putting my Pirelli's back on for the next trip and I'll have my sub out and hopefully less gas. Got about 20-30 runs in for the day. Best run at the track all day was a Camaro running 8.91@153

Not a lot of people go. You can run down the track, come back and wait like 10 mins max before you're at the line again.

pretty good times. Right on par with my old bone stock '04 lancer ralliart.

http://registry.evolutionm.net/viewtime.php?tid=240

funny though, my lancer ralliart had WAY more topend than you do.

my 17.5mph back half pickup vs your 13mph or less. weird.

Yea I really felt like the car was lagging in 3rd gear, it felt like I was just casually accelerating.

same deal here. I got a 1/8th mile strip like 2 miles away. But the nearest 1/4 is KCIR and it's damn near 3hrs.

Ya, 3rd gear was when everyone would really start pulling away from me. I hung within 2-3 cars of a G8 GT until I hit 3rd and then it turned into bus lengths as he ran a 13.5. If I had more power in my 3rd gear I could run 14's no problem. I have enough power in 1st gear and 2nd gear's just about to it's max without spinning when I go from 1st-2nd.

Here's a few other cars that were at the track running and some of their times that I can remember:

99-04 V6 Mustang running 14.6 (had a lot of engine work done)
04 Mustang Gt running 14.3-14.5
LS1 Camaro running around 14 (He kept spinning at the line)
Trans AM (unknown year) running low 13's
Evo running low 11's
Corvette Z06 running mid 12's (kept spinning at the line)
Fully Built Camaro running around 9 (kicked off the track after running 8.91@153 because he didn't have a parachute)
S-10 running low 16's
Prelude running 15.1 (he had has launch down unlike me )
Nissan 240 running 15.9-16.2
Monte Carlo SS running 15.8-16.3
06 Cobalt SS running 13's (he was looking for 12's but couldn't hook up off the line all day)
supercharged buick running mid 14's
A few fox body's all running mid 12's
V12 BMW running low 13's (sounded SOOO nice!)
G8 GT running mid 13's (best pass was 13.41 I believe)
Diesel Ram 3500 running low 13's (looked like he may have blew his motor early in the day because he spent nearly all day working on it and never hit the track after like 3 runs)
There was also a bunch of older built cars running 10's and 11's.

ya, I'd prefer to have it at Lapeer and not Milan though. We'll get so many more runs in at Lapeer and Milan is a 2 hour drive for me.
