7K. I'm running GM Stage 2 tune on 2.9. I want to get valves/springs and rev it higher but that will come after my new toy arrives.

Just the 17" rim and tire. I changed my plugs and changed the oil. that's about it. I don't know if it is because there was less humidity and cooler temps outside or what. Because that's 7/10 faster than my 13.7 at Bradenton.

it's the tire. If you bumped your rev limit to 7500 and shifted there from 1st and 2nd, you'd break a 12 easy. Probably better than revhigh's 12.8.

The gearing in these cars is not meant for drag racing, so when you drop the diameter like that, it makes it more aggressive, which helps to put more tq down.

You can rev safely to 7400-7500 on stock everything, as long as you arent' keeping the car there for several minutes at a time you won't have a problem.

Full mod list please. I'm shooting for around the same time on DR's. OTTP stage 1, ZZP H/E, HTP 3" catless downpipe, 3" Cobalt Addiction intake. Also have an Exedy clutch. Will have rotated mounts for wheel hop issues.
