GM Bash Drag strip reminders/rules!!!

This is for TX Motorplex and must be followed:
1. All drivers MUST have a valid drivers license
2. All drivers are required to wear long pants, sleeved shirts(no tank tops) and closed toe shoes(no sandals)
3. Must have at least one functional tail light
4. Drivers in cars running 13.99 or quicker(8.59 in the 1/8th) are required to wear a helmet meeting snell 95 or SFI 31.1, 31.2 or 41.1, 41.2 specs.

Here is a link to the site for much faster cars but will likely not apply for our Cobalts unless someone has some SERIOUS power!http://www.texasmotorplex.com/rules.php

For either NOOBS or cars that will be faster this year....I wanted to put out a reminder for one simple rule commonly forgotten or unknown.* Please post any other rules that you think people will need to know as the drag/road race season is arriving. If your car is quicker than 13.99 in the 1/4...you MUST have a Helmet as stated above!See you all at the Bash.

It really isn't. It's the standard guideline that all sanctioned tracks are supposed to follow.

I was looking at the 15 day forecast and it could very well be. But that track run perfect in the 70's and 80's.

I guess, but i mean, if i would have had slicks i could have run a 13.9 in my bone stock SS/SC.

And from what I have seen around the country its pretty standard and you would have to of worn a helmet stock or not. If I am not mistaken its a NHRA rule not the track.

hmm.. thats crazy, should have looked into it, never had that issue, but i know a lot of people never wore helmets that ran into the low13's. Maybe the Fayetteville Motor Speedway doesn't give a ****, haha. They probably don't actually, that place is ghetto as hell.

hmm. post went bye bye.

I am assuming you're out of Norfolk Naval station. its about 230 miles, or about 4 hours away.

thats not too bad. If you come down this way though, we should try to time it so that it coincides with a trip to a better track up in Rockingham, or someplace aorund there, along with the Raleigh crew.

That will work...I use a dirtbike helmet and I just took the visor off the top of it and never been questioned.
