A buddy of mine ran his and the elevation here is ~5600-5700ft. He ran a 15.1 bone stock so should be around there!

Just noticed that you are tuned & stuff...low 14s? High 13s?

I want 13's anything 13 LOL DEEEP 13's PLEASE something good

really sucks ***** cuz I have these nitto invo's instead of the NT05's which would have raped my 60 ft a lot better , we will see I am guessing a high 13 LOL

took all the **** out the grocery getter going down with my buddies 50 trim 1000cc SRT 4 on ethanol just to play! His **** is whack but we are usually about neck and neck up to 80 ... He has hoosiers too soo I am SOL ...

Good thing he fried his Stage 2 pcm running low impedance injectors and now it is about the same speed as my slow pig , it will be a sad day for me when its fixed ..

possible vids and slips soon ..

Cliff Notes 6,000 Ft elevation with Nitto Invo 225's about 80F out ....

Just to give an example of a ZR1 and Viper running in the mid 13's at 5800ft with street tires http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhL_t6Cf4cE

1st run VS some cobra with street tires.

2nd run mid 90's Acura RSX with a turbo

3rd run prelude with big mufflers

Anyway I think I will get DR's so if anyone has the best approach on this would be much appreciated , I need to work on my 60 ft but the thing just spins spins spins getting it down ..

I think with the conservative tune I am running and no traction is killing me .

next time it will be full laptop set up at the track and drag radials foot ball mod ....

I can't see the pics here at work. What did you run? Or you can just upload them to the gallery here.

fastest time was a 2.3 60 14.199 @ 104.76 and I don't even know wtf I did that time , I think I just took off like normal instead of launching it .

I have other slips that aren't even worth lookin at because i goofed

I can't get the Invos to hook like I could the NT05's ... I try to slip it but still.. I left the tire pressure alone and just did my test runs..

Had a blast I am hooked on the strip now ..

For you damn people behind a content filter The rest are in my Images

glad to hear you had a blast. Your 104 traps shows you are definitely good for 13s. It's your 60ft that's killing ya.

Put some big boy tires on there and you'll see low 13s.

The only thing that I can think of is they rolled through the water box and didn't burn out. But still, I don't think it'd screw up a launch that bad.

If I were you I wouldn't be thinking about drag radials yet.You can't get a good launch on street tires,do you think your skill level will automatically improve with dragradials? Get some 2.1's cosistently first. Then get some 17'' drag radials,no brake swap needed.

what tire pressure are you running?

On average what difference should you see at a different altitude.

Roughly .5 sec on a F/I car and 1 sec on N/A cars here. Then add high temps in could be 1 sec F/I and 1 1/2 sec N/A car. Just read where a new camaro ran a 14.5 at bandi stock and his D/A corrected was a 12.7 which ls3's run 12.5 to 13 fairly easily at sea level. A new cts-v ran a 14 flat for some reference. Here is a calculator to use for reference it is not perfect but fairly close for different altitudes and temps just punch in you're track and day and time you run. And as far as his 60ft does he said he was new to the track racing and maybe his track is a slippery mess during street legals like the track here is.

I never touched the water box , nor did burn outs , tire pressure was around 30 lbs I can't explain the 60 ft as I tried various launching techniques , my friends srt-4 had hoosiers on it , if you compare the cars I ran against you would think with the cobra being rwd he would do better than a 2.5 . he runs almost every weekend ... Every class imaginable raced that night we had time only and they didn't really give 2 ***** about us but yeeah the track is a real hard compound and the **** all the high hp cars leave behind lays down a different kind of rubber and it is hard to get street tires to grip to it IMO , I can launch it harder on pavement IMO

I calculated about a 77.48 % out of 100% compared to sea level so about a 20 % loss total

I can also launch much better on the street than strip. Street tires pick up rather than stick to all that crap the slicks leave on the track. Lower tire pressure to 25psi, although it will hurt your mph a bit.

do a light clutch dump maybe 2k and then just keep the gas about about halfway until your weight distribution settles, then lay into it whenever your car can take it. I can never do much better than a 2.30 myself on my all seasons.

Your times seem good for your elevation.
